Hope they are not playing it the same as GG, not convinced by Ds management. Too many other fish to fry and outside interests like Simon fuller buying two apartments in LA costing 10 million.

I don't care how many apartments he buys - just as long as he gives D a full chance - and help the songs get heard. I'd hate him to do a documentary on Darius as the one on Gareth certainly didn't do a thing to help him, quite the opposite.

That documentary was very badly done in my opinion and so was the reality series, subsequently reduced to one hour or so, about VB moving to America. It didn't do her image any good either.

Whether he is legally bound or not may not be important. My impression is that loyalty to the individual is more important to Darius than what he gets out of their link. I don't think it's always in his best interest.
I've never heard him say a bad word about them. It would be really hard for him to walk away whether he could or couldn't

Let's hope 19 puts some effort into his publicity when the new album is ready.

It's my impression that Simon Fuller wants to get more involved in TV now, maybe because he's seen what it's done for the other Simon, but he doesn't want to step forward into the limelight himself and would rather just produce things. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the two things I saw. Frankly I'd rather he just brought Darius back to the UK with a good series of gigs in advance of the next single instead of any other type of project he might dream up.

Do ypu mean with his old material? I think the impetus has gone! Without new material to

boost up his gigs I doubt the seats would be filled. D is going to have to work very hard to

regenerate his popularity with the masses.

Why does D himself seem not to realise this or is he so besotted that he will let his career slide. Regarding Simon fuller he is actively involved with Simon cowell in american idol over number of years so they are obviously friends and always thought D wanted to distance himself from that connection.

Perhaps darius never had his sights set on the Pop career long term, he said it was a shallow short term career more than once... he doesnt seem the sort of man to let his career slide if it was someone else pulling the strings. I just cannot imagine him leaving things up to management if he wasnt happy with it. I am really wondering in what way 2008 will be a busy year, and what he is going to be doing..after all he said on myspace there were so many things he wanted to be.. that doesnt sound like "popstar" .

househusband to natasha doesnt seem to fit his mold. Although I put love and family life above money making evry day.

I keep dreaming he is going to be doing something more substansial than releasing an album..although I am desperate for that too, I just hope for bigger things for him..........................................................

The new music is very different and, unless he's changed his mind, which I don't think he'd do, he will not be doing any gigs centered around the previous music. Natasha may be filming in the UK and he'd use that time here as well. It sounded as though there were plans already made for next year's work.

Does that mean that his new music will not include his guitar or the band?! If he has a complete change of direction I know that I love his voice, nomatter what genre of music! I really do hope that somewhere along the line he releases a 'rock' album - I think he would do really well going along the lines of Bruce Springsteen!!

I do remember him saying that Natasha may be filming in the UK and that would fit in really well with his plans

Whatever direction he chooses to pursue his career, I will always support him as, (to my mind! :yahoo:  ) no-one comes anywhere close to D when it comes to talent and having the 'X' Factor!!

I don't really think Darius should do a rock album, I think when he tried to rock up Sandy it kinda fell on it's face, I think Darius is great the rat pack stuff way better than westlfe even though I am a fan of theirs .
West life were awful at the rat pack stuff, it was so NOT them, Darius was fantastic at the Jazz gigs, and I am just hoping his music and himself are evolving and growing comfortably, have to say rock I think should be left behind, much as I did love Sandy and his rockier numbers, I dont think people will take him doing rock it sems to have been taken by the likes of the more hard edge indie bands

I thought the opposite, I thought he stole that Greasemania show. I don't play Sandy much because I don't often play cover versions but I absolutely adore songs like Love To Love , Only You, Resolution, I'm Not Buying etc. which have a rockier feel and Darius always gets a tremendous reaction from all kinds of audiences when he performs them live.

hey I agree with what you are saying there have been some good rocked up songs but I just think that Darius is more well suited for jazz. I really liked Love to Love and Only You, all the above songs, but i perfere Darius with the more slower song but would love something along the lines of Colourblind :D I heard that today and just feel in love all over again.

I find myself agreeing with Baytree yet again re the above rockier songs. There are a lot of people out there doing ballads. I have always felt that if love to love and a few others had got airplay they would have done well but it is a bit worrying as to who does the choosing after GG s changes when there was better.
