I hope they don't lose their Valentine's day. It means even more to them than it does to other people. It was the day that Darius committed himself to her totally.

I have to agree with you Megham. Valentine's day is "their day" when Darius flew over to LA to be with her. I think will be a sad for both of them if they don't get to spend it together. maybe that is why their are in NY all this week to spend as much time as they can with each other.

I know for sure that when Darius is back he will be on the phone everyday to Natasha, and also when he is doing interviews it will come across how much he is missing her.

I wish them all the best

It'll ne worth it though. He'll probably be so busy next week his feet wont hit the ground.

I watched the 100 greatest American films tonight and I agreed with the person who said Rhett was more important than Scarlett, or words to that effect. It's really only the scenes with Rhett and with Mammy which I remember from the film, other than the spectacular, the burning of Atlanta.

We know Darius is a quick learner and he's filled a couple of big shoes before but Clark Gable's Rhett is positively iconic. I reckon it would be an amazing part to play and if the musical is a great musical, then I hope Darius will be Rhett one day. Atm I'd say that despite his looks, charisma and talent, he's much too young and relatively inexperienced.

Oops!

Amazing how a month's difference and a bit of info can make me change my mind. If I'd known he'd been training I wouldn't have said, would I?

Oh dear Baytree!!! Someones bound to take that out of context!!!
What a difference a year makes. ' Without seeing 'Guys and Dolls' I may hae been worried bu, I was amazed how he developed as an actor. I'm just so glad I got to see it.

4 days and counting.

This time he'll have a lot more scope to show what he can really do.

I'm not sure I want to see Darius being brutish and mean to a woman, even if she does sorely try his patience and pretty much deserve it.

I actually can't recall the plot at all, so long ago - when I was a kid I seem to think I "saw" the film, once!

I recall curtains for a dress, the civil war and a town burning and the last words Rhett said to Scarlett" frankly my dear..."..not sure whether to brush up, or let it be a suprise!

This musical is to be based on the book. If you want a surprise, don't read the book. I think it will be a lot darker than the film, pointing up the evils of slavery and the futility of war. They may have the courage to show the men's raid on the shanty town as a Klu Klux Klan one on freed slaves, not as the film depicts, a chivalrous one to revenge a maiden's honour.

I'm sure a lot of the dialogue in the film is from the original book but I'm not sure how Hollywood-ised it was. They took ages over the script and kept revising it.

I do hope its not to deep or PC, I am not really that interested in the rights and wrongs of things that happened in the past - just the Darius
I don't want it to be like 'Wicked' - not much of the book left but, I wouldn't want to leave the theatre depressed - thoughtful, yes, really down, no.

After my second time seeing the show, I only concentrate on comparing Darius with the last time I saw him or how he interacts with a new cast member.
I will be interested as how they will fit the music into the story. I love the main music in the film and would love then to use it also will there be any dancing.

It depends whether they keep in the charity ball scene where the men are asked to bid for the pleasure of dancing with the lady of their choice and Rhett scandalises everyone by bidding 150 $ in gold for Scarlett who's in mourning for her first husband and shouldn't be out in company. They dance a reel and then what looks like a viennese waltz in the film.

As far as I know all of the music will be specially written for this musicalversion.

A silly little item.

He( George Clooney) said: "There is a strange pecking order among actors. Theatre actors look down on film actors, who look down on TV actors. Thank God for reality shows, or we wouldn't have anybody to look down on."

I'm just wondering where that leaves Natasha and Darius - a bit like the two Ronnies and John Cleese in that film.

Clooney can look down on himself - film actor looks down on TV actor. Has he done any professionaltheatre work?
