I hope some day Darius will perform on TV , on Stage and Silver Screen, as an actor and as a singer.
Sorry I have never understood all the fuss about George clooney, Darius leaves him standing!!
seems to be the same names are used, no thought given..its just george Clooney and Brad Pit are stereotypical names used when talking heart throbs, and those are the names that everyone seems to pull out of a hat, saves having to think up any others - I have never found George Clooney attractive, but perhaps a lot of women do??? although I have never spoken to any who have.

I like the way Clooney is prepared to tackle all kinds of films/roles and take risks but I'm not attracted to him otherwise. I like Johnny Depp for the same reason. They both seem very down to earth and don't get too deep into "Hollywood"

You've spoken to me....perhaps not about GC but I do like him and Brad Pitt......and Darius....surprise, surprise :D

He's never appealed to me but he seems to appeal to all the other females I know.

Whether I like Brad Pitt or not, pretty much depends on the role . I like him in some films and can't stand him in others.

I go to films and theatres for the experience not to ogle someone. That goes for Darius too. Great song, nice butt just isn't what it's about. Watching him perform his music strkes a deeper emotional chord.

There are some singers who sing as if they're reading autocues - technically spot on every note perfect................. some of them can even squeeze six notes into one word but they leave me cold because there's absolutely no indication that the song means anything personal to them at all, that it has touched them.

In MT it's vital that the songs do convey real feelings. Darius can deliver that in bucketloads. It's second nature to him.

I really hope I like GWTW. I'd be still over the moon that he's got the part as he deserves the recognition. It'd be the icing on the cake to actually enjoy it and find that it's good. WhetherI like it or not is unimportant as long as it's good.

I could 'see' Darius in the other two as soon as I watched the films but this is a blank. I watch gable and believe Darius could carry that role too but I know that's not going to be the way he's asked to play it, so right now it's like being back to 2 channel TV, watching the wee girl with her blackboard and clown while the timeclock ticks down until the programme comes on.

I am looking forward to it, I think Darius has the wit, charm etc to pull off the rogue, I do seem to recall gable was quite funny(not ha ha, but dry, flippant) in GWTW as he seemed to be in other films I dimly recall,

I can't see Darius wanting to emulating him though, as he was older with that husky cigar voice..LOL I wonder if Darius will take any one as a inspiration, perhaps a touch of the maverick? although he was a bit too funny and not as hard..mm

but I can see such scope for a juicy character, doesnt everyone aspire to play the bad guy?!. I have read online that the book is far better than the film! I still want to leave it as a suprise though, so I can't compare or expect ...

I'm going to see if they have the book in the library. I've got to go anyway, because with all the excitement I forgot to return my books and will need to pay fines. Ah well that's a new paperback for the City. I hope they choose wisely.
I should have it on Wednesday. The library here is moving, so I'm avoiding it at the moment.
I was in a charity shop last week and there was a very large paperback which I didnt buy which was called Scarlet and it was the sequal to Gone with the wind.
