Well Jill Paice was in New York appearing in "Curtains" and Darius said he did auditions in New York so it's certainly a possibility.

If I'd already cast one role and if there were to be duets, I'd try out each of the candidates, I think.

seems sensible, would be disastrous to find two voices clashed..or maybe there wont be any duets..

I think what's good about a new production is, they're more of a new intake class. Darius isn't the only new boy this time. and this time he's come into it knowing that he was the best from a large field. That must surely give him confidence.

It was the acting I was worried about back then because I knew he could ace the songs.I'd seen him perform AICAIL at NUTS and he was brilliant. I was more curious than nervous about seeing him perform We Both Reached For The Gun for the first time.

I was so nervous and it showed. I was fidgetyand I hadn't been able to eat all day soI wasn't feeling that great. I was sure Darius would show some sign of nerves but he didn't. You'd never have known it was his first night.

I think we all knew then that it wouldn't be his last role and we were looking at years divided into recording/gigging and live theatre. now we hear that films may be thrown into the mix.

It's the fact that he throws himself so wholeheartedly into everything he does. I was in anticipation with the dancing in 'Guys and Dolls'. I did think that would be funny - it turned out to be really professional. A different type of pleasure. If he can nail that kind of dancing, he can do anything.

I thought he was a nice classy mover in Chicago. Looking at that Havana routine in clips before I saw Darius, terrified me but I thought "Maybe they'll make it simpler for him or just let him be a specator for some of it like Marlon Brando in the film."

I couldn't believe how Darius handled that routine. And to do it in what must have been an uncomfortable position for most of it, was mindblowing. He was absolutely spot on compared to theother dancers in Luck Be A Lady too. Sean's dancing in the back row or something similar was all I'd expected from Darius.

He was very good - not funny at all. Still, I must live wih these little diappointments. Seriously, he'd have been slaughtered if his dancing hadn't been perfect - as it was, it was hardly mentioned.

I just worry that no matter what Darius does, no matter how many times he sails through challenges, there are those who have such a hatred for him that they want to destroy him at any cost .
It does look good. It's not in an area I ever find myself, so I have no idea what it's like.

megham, in another thread you were wondering about Jacqui.

Well, I couldn't get to sleeplast night and turned on the tele but I don't know which channel. There was a new series called Find Me The Face and it was a challenge between modelling scouts. They had to find girls who'd never modelled for an agency. Their brief, if you'll pardon the pun, was to find girls with C or D cup bra sizes for lingerie models.

Anyway when they whittled it down to one girl each they arrived at the agency - Premier Model Management and its top lingerie model came out to give the girls tips for their photoshoot and it was Jacqui. She was as lovely as ever and just as caring, helpful and friendly as I remember.

Good to know Jacqui is doing well. I don't know borough either (wrong side of the river)
