Somebody's just posted these lyrics on DS and reminded me that darius sang them in top 50 on PI because it was his Dad's favourite song.

Looking back I'm struck by how appropriate they are for Darius, especially that last verse. They've been trying to deny his talent for years but it keeps shining out and then they call him the comeback kid , when in truth he's never been away.

I loved him singing that.

I agree, wonder if that's why he chose it.

 

I also like the beginning....Hi my name is Darius, I'm 21 and from Glasgow.....always makes me sit up when it comes on the cd

Maybe he chose it because it was a beautiful song.

....and it summed up how he felt....

And his Dad loves it.

there is a lovely big picture of Darius and natasha on the princes trust site, its a pdf, so opens in adoebe? and its on the third page, but I havent noticed(perhaps I missed )) it before(it isnt the one of them meeting Charles, but a full on posed one

I tried saving the picture but couldnt, darius looks absolutely lovely, and the title underneath says Trust ambassador Darius Danesh with actress natasha Henstridge..

Darius voluntarily wearing a tie! I love that colour.

Not only wearing a tie - but a done up tie at that.

Darius scrubs up well and looks very smart, shaven and with a proper tie.

 

I can't wait to see him striding around as Rhett in all those fancy clothes, not to mention the boots!
