Just thought I would post this before the really 'BIG' news begins to pour in!!! :D

Daily Star today - Bushell on the Box - re his views on the new drama 'Rock Rivals':

".........Crucially, it's nowhere near as dramatic or as funny as the real thing. None of the contestants come close to the delirious brilliance of a Rhydian or a Darius.'

Someone else who has realised that Darius (and Rhydian) have 'star quality' by the bucketfull!!!! :D

Julie

Well I thought it was time to "get rid" eon :D Sorry, but he was just an opera singer to me, and not a great one either! Maybe if he had tried to push himself into different genres I would have had more time for him. I have to say though, he probably did have the best voice overall, but then so did Leona, and she didn't move me either.

When I saw Bushell, I wondered why his report would be positive about D because I still associate his name with the Sun. Seeing that it was the Daily Star explains a lot as they have quite often written encouraging and pleasant things about D :) Maybe Lorraine Kelly should start writing for them

Well its funny but rhydians path has started out like D, called arrogant but it was editing and got at by the tabloids, soundfamiliar, a format they follow me thinks. He has a first clss honours degree in music recently graduated from the birmingham conservatoire, (UNIVERSITY) won the mario lanza prize for singing and numerous other prizes. I do rate his voice and apparently on the xfactor tour he is the one with stage presence and can talk to an audience, again sounds familiar. I also look forward to seeing him in the westend also and on tour but D will always be my no.1 by miles. However I am not a fan of any other site but notice rhydians has nearly 4000 members so maybe he will make it. Nice to see gary bushell know what a star is.

To me Rhydian is one trick pony at present. I don't think he can manipulate his voice as well as any of the first three in PI.......yet!

I'll keep an open mind but so far I can't see me buying his album.

It's funny how there just IS something about a person which makes you sit up and take note. For me, it was Darius but I can see that for others it happens with someone else.
It is to me. I wouldn't dream of telling someone else that the musician they like is rubbish just because I don't happen to like them.
I thought Rydhian had the best voice and stage presence, but just didnt apeal to me on any level - tell the truth, I had forgotten all about him till I just read his name here. I do wonder what happens to all these people who seeingly get record deals and vanish, talking about blonde operatic singers, what happened to that G4 Johnathon? didnt he land a solo deal some time back.

His album was number one in the classical music charts and top ten in the UK charts not that long ago. He's lined up to play Pavarotti in a Las Vegas show. One of the other mmembers from G4, Mike, is also said to have got a solo deal.
Anyone in the Museam of Art will know where to find Darius - that could be very useful - maybe we should have a link there.
Where is the Museum of Art? Do you mean the Tates, Nat. gallery ?
Sorry, probs with posting.

I had a newspaper cutting pushed through my door this morning......Daily Mail 10th March.

Page 39....a photo of Natasha and title of....Daring for Darius

Having put his Pop Idol cheesiness behind him and landed the lead in Sir Trevor Nunn's new musical production of Gone with the Wind, housewives' favourite Darius Danesh was resigned to the separation that the plum role would bring from the love of his life, glamourous Natasha Henstridge.

The Canadian-born actress, who lives in Los Angeles and has two children by a previous boyfriend, has a phobia of air travel alone.

Darius says: 'She hates flying on her own and struggled with this fear ever since she became a mother.'

But now Natasha, 33, has had a change of mind.

'She jumped on a flight at the last moment and I couldn't be happier,' says Darius, 27.

How did she overcome her fear? 'Well, if I knew that I would be one step closer to cracking the eternal mystery of women,' says Darius who was accompanied by Natasha - modelling a £25,000 jade and diamond ring from Sloane Street jewller Edmond Avakian, plus a pair of £13,000 matching earings to last night's Laurence Olivier Awards.

It's the second time she's done that - just turned up when he didn't think she would. I bet he was over the moon. I hope Jill didn't feel too awkward.
