Isn't this so accurate? Found in an end of series review of Popstars.

The most famous of the eventual "rejects" is Darius Daneesh. Undoubtedly the guy with the best voice all throughout auditions, the 6ft+ Glaswegian eventually proved too much for the judges to take. The problem was, he was very, very good. And he knew it. But his image wasn't right for the group anyway, and so moved on. He captured the hearts of the entire group of auditionees, and wrote a moving goodbye song overnight as a thank-you.

He has talent; and we WILL be seeing more of him in the future, I'm sure.

That reviewer must have been a clairvoyant .

Funningly enough a journalist on our local paper here wrote almost the same thing after pop idol when Darius was voted out saying the only one with any real talent in his eyes had now left the programme. Wish I had kept a copy of his exact words.

My feelings exactly B)

I'll agree with that. They couldn't have put him in the band - the others just weren't as noticable

I'll agree with that. Every time they sang in groups he made the other guys sound weak or like strangled cats, especially the time when they had to sing Bridge Over Troubled Water.

He just stood out....and I'm not talking about his height.....

....he was wanting to help them all so much...

That's what one of the producers said long after Popstars but the editing didn't show much of that side of Darius at all.

I remember one time the kids were singing an All Saints song in groups of 5 and the girl (Sally) who was doing most of the lead vocal suddenly dried. I couldn't believe that none of the other four ( including Myleene Klass) sang to help her out. They'd all practised it, they should all have known the words. Guy or not, I bet Darius would have kept it going it until she'd got back on track.

as I recall every one else seemed to be in it purely for themselves, Darius always helped out, supported people around him and was being his usual generous self, a natural born leader and nuturer. I remember one young guy saying he was like an older brother to him.
Yet all people remember/have seen is the love bit and HMBOMT snip, without any explanation and nothing that actually showed what he was like.

I thought there was a Natasha thread but I can't find it. A rumour has begun to circulate on the net that although Commander-in Chief is definitely over, Natasha is going to be appearing in the new season of LOST. The only US source I've found so far seems very ropey. In the tiny article Natasha is quoted as saying a special part has been written for her and she starts filming in September.
god, that program is awful - now if they could create a special part for darius, I may watch. The first episode was more than enough for me, it should have come to a conclusion then

Then we'll know it's fiction!

I was instantly put off by the first episode PIP, but I gave it another chance, and it is REALLY great  I have seen upto episode 24 of series 2 and it gets more intrigueing every show :) You must borrow the first series from someone, and give it a propper chance. Don't let the silly thing with the polar bear  put you off.

Wow, it would be great if Natasha was in the show :) I wouldn't think she will be in there very long though, as she would represent too much competition for the character of Kate in the show -_-

We will have to wait and see :)

I never started watching it because it was pretty clear from the pre-series blurb that you'd need to watch most programmes to follow it. Similarly, I've never watched 24.
I must say i just cannot get into these series, I think I just found the first episode so cliched and so bits and pieces, as if they had gleaned snippets of different films - I think I am just off TV fiction as a whole - I seem to have seen every plot somewhere else before!
Simon is addicted to Lost, but I don't watch it at all. That sort of American stuff doesn't interest me

Further to my comment on Neil sean this is what he says today in the Star - there is also another article on jennifer ellison!! Former emmerdalestar Ian Kelsey is being wooed by record company bosses who are impressed by his stint as Billy Flynn in the london theatre production of chicago. He said I am shocked because I hasvent sung for years its all very flattering. Why do I think this is another dig but I do.
