Fallen Embers. The whole song. I think it is Roma's best lyrics, so simple and yet so beautiful and moving. I'm kind of a sucker for tragic love stories anyway, though I hate romance novels. :puke2: But I love the lyrics to that song. So, most beautiful for meaning goes to Fallen Embers.

Most beautiful for sound, though, would be Athair ar Neamh. The Gaelic words sound so pretty in it, it makes me wish I spoke Gaelic. B)

I'd like to share some Enya lyrics I love.

I'm not even sure if they are original, but they are so beautiful.

From 'How Can I Keep From Singing'

No storm can shake my inmost calm

While to that rock I'm clinging

Since love is lord of heaven and earth

How can I keep from singing?

Those lyrics along with Enya singing really help me feel inmost calm.

Does anyone else have Enya lyrics they'd like to share?

I hope nobody minds, but I thought I would merge this topic with an older one I created because they are closely related. :)

I love the three Gaelic lines in Ebudae (is anyone shocked yet? LOL ;))

Amharc, mná ag obair lá's mall san oích,

Ceolann siad ar laetha geal, a bhí,

Bealach fada anonn's anall a choích.

Look, women working by day and late at night,

They sing of bright days that were,

A long way back and forth forever.

I can't help it.. xinfinity :) I just love that song so much.

I also think the lyrics to Caribbean Blue and Na Laetha Geal M'Oige are beautiful..and so many others, I could go on forever. :)

Evacuee is a very nice song lyrics wise:

Each time on my leaving home

I run back to my mother's arms,

one last hold and then it's over.

Watching me, you know I cry,

you wave a kiss to say goodbye,

Feel the sky fall down upon me!

All I am,

a child with promises

All I have

are miles full of promises of home.

If only I could stay with you,

my train moves on, you're gone from view,

Now I must wait until it's over.

All I am,

a child with promises

All I have

are miles full of promises of home

Days will pass, your words to me,

it seems so long; eternity,

but I must wait until it's over.
