We are absolutely horrendous. So slow, so static, running for the same balls, players not on the same wavelength as each other, zero creativity. Dreadful.

The way England have played in this tournament it doesn't matter what side of the draw they end up in, they're not going to do anything of note. Italy would knock them out and so would Belgium.

Just sums up our play, he had time to take another touch and close the angle down. Best part was Lee Dixon saying Foden was our man of the match and then showed a shot of him smashing the ball against a player.

And Slovenia are through! Great result for them.

If only the group D matches were the late kick-offs today!

Least deserving group win I can ever recall for England but tbf none of the other teams in this group were any good either.

 

Denmark and Slovenia just slumping to 3 draws each and making it into the knockouts... it's better from their perspective but neither look like they'll get far.

It obviously doesn't feel like it, but it was slightly better from England tonight. Obviously Slovenia's tactics played a part, but we did dominate the ball today and didn't give away anywhere near as many chances as we had in the other 2 games.

 

Still needs to improve MASSIVELY for us to continue much further.

We're very lucky our group was one big stalemate (one win in the whole group is crazy, must not happen often) as this is easily the weakest we've ever been under Southgate, one can hope we'll wake up now x

But we are absolutely impotent with the ball and looked like we could be prone to a defensive gaff at any moment. We don't create anything when we have the ball and when we don't have the ball. Not sure we were any better all things considered. We'll get plastered by any half decent side.

Our problem is Southgate. Alright having the ball, but even when we play balls in to the box outside of set pieces we have 1 or 2 players in the box. Any half decent side will have at least double that. Our passive tactics are not doing us any favours at all.
