The Ketchup Song was of course a massive hit across Europe during the summer of 2002 yet was strangely held back until October 7th for the UK. :o It managed a week at #1 on 105,000 sales! Random fun fact: there have been rumours of the nonsensical lyrics actually referencing Satanism, which has caused Dominican radio to ban the song. :o

Corinne! I really like her voice - I prefer some of her later material but Put Your Records On was a nice radio friendly introduction to her.

I do love both of them actually and whilst I did put Kooks higher in the 06 end of year thread I did a couple of years back I'll go for Corinne this time.
