July 5, 20241 yr Labour are apparently saying they think they have lost Sheffield Hallam (Nick Clegg’s old seat) to the Lib Dems.
July 5, 20241 yr Author Liked seeing Dawn Butler being cagey about what the left will do on the BBC (honestly good seeing the Labour left mentioned at all there tbqh) - I'd love to see McDonnell and Lynch up there but I don't have the bandwidth to manage multiple channels. Gateshead Central also looking similar to the seats we've got so far, though Lib Dems narrowly in 3rd ahead of the Tories, mildly interesting.
July 5, 20241 yr Corbyn probably will win, Labour tried various tactics to win but the sheer ground numbers was all Corbyn people, especially today. Very strong get out the vote push probably cancelled out all Labours superior data etc
July 5, 20241 yr What’s the largest majorities in history? The Whig party won 441 seats in 1832 and there hasn't been a bigger majority since. Not sure about before that but you are going before the Great Reform Act so its hardly worth even comparing if you factor in the enormously different historical context.
July 5, 20241 yr Not sure but Labour is looking for biggest majority since 1832 apparently. :o https://www.marketwatch.com/story/britains-...-shows-e4c4ba17 Yeh the Duke of Wellington was PM 🤣

July 5, 20241 yr where are we finding the exact figures/percentages so fast? BBC are typically sluggish
July 5, 20241 yr Nadine Dorries is very edgy tonight on Channel 4. Surely this is breaching impartiality rules?! Utterly shocking from C4!!! Still v v disappointed in the low Labour landslide and rhe high Tory seats
July 5, 20241 yr where are we finding the exact figures/percentages so fast? BBC are typically sluggish They're on the BBC website if you use the map view and click "go to detailed results". It's a bit finicky though. Also Lib Dem get their first gain of the night from the conservatives - Harrogate and Knaresborough! :cheer:
July 5, 20241 yr They're on the BBC website if you use the map view and click "go to detailed results". It's a bit finicky though. ahh yes thank you!
