Posted July 10, 20241 yr As both songs are allegedly out tomorrow, which one will go and debut higher on the UK singles chart?
July 10, 20241 yr Katy easily. Kylie, Bebe & Tove aren't exactly chart forces. Kylie is a big name. Ut o lg Padam was a hit really.
July 10, 20241 yr Katy isn't out until Friday in the UK. Kylie will do better on iTunes but Katy will do better on Spotify either way
July 10, 20241 yr Katy should at least debut in the top 40 I would've thought, I'd be pleased if the other one even charts.
July 10, 20241 yr Is 'My Oh My' a lead single from Kylie or just a random summer collab to tie in with the BST show? Either way I think it will debut top 40, but Katy should debut top 20, depending on quality of course.
July 10, 20241 yr Author Even though Kylie is out on Thursday, I don't think the song will debut on Friday. Friday release would give advantage to Katy though.

Nobody knows yet for sure if it's for a completely new album, or for a Tension re-release etc but I imagine it'll be for something.
July 10, 20241 yr got to be Katy, but I wouldn't write off Kylie & co. getting into the top 40 officially by this time next Friday. PS: the chart fan in me is annoyed that they both couldn't just have waited for one more day to release to maximise their chart units for next week lol

July 10, 20241 yr PS: the chart fan in me is annoyed that they both couldn't just have waited for one more day to release to maximise their chart units for next week lol This has unfortunately been the bane of our Kylie fan lives, but it's something BMG seem to do with all of their artists.
July 10, 20241 yr I think Kylie might actually stand a chance of debuting higher at least, even if it doesn't perform as well in the long run. Happy to be proved wrong though, would be nice to see both debut well!
July 10, 20241 yr I just hope Kylie gets some high postions on NMF playlists eventhough its a Thursday morning release. She is only releasing around 8.30am UK time with her BBC Radio 2 world premiere. I think it is a way of getting on some playlists ready to move into the new chart week. It never really works for Kylie
July 10, 20241 yr Ugh a morning one, was hoping for maybe Thursday evening so not too much lost but this will be basically a whole day including all the curiosity streams
July 11, 20241 yr Thu releases are for maximum exposure, cos there is little competition on a Thu compared to Fri like Kylie today, who else is releasing this morning? no one, so she can hame the spotlight. If released on Fri, then there's KP, Eminems album and hundreds of other releases
