Posted January 11, 200718 yr IS HE FUKK! 1-1 with Wycombe last night and a load of c**p results over Christmas and New Year clearly shows that he isn't. Yes, they may have had key players out injured but a team like Chelsea with a manager who's supposedly so good should really have come through it winning most, if not all, of the games. If he's such a good manager how come his side (which was worth £130 MILLION*, may have included some reserves but really apart from Lampard it was his best team available!) couldn't even beat a Wycombe side 3 divisions lower who's side probably didn't cost much more than £130,000. If he's SUCH a good manager then why in 2 1/2 seasons at Chelsea has he not produced ONE youth product when teams like Man Utd and Arsenal produce them consistantly (both teams seem to loan out more than 3 every season!). The simple reason, he's not that good a manager. Well certainly not in the league of Ferguson or Wenger. Hell, I wouldnt even put him in the same league as Glen Roeder!! *Mikel - £16M, Wright Phillips - £21M, Essien - £24M, Paulo Ferreira - £12M, Ashley Cole - £5M-minus Gallas (thats around £20-25M), Kalou - £12M , Makelele - £14M, Geremi - £7M, Bridge - £7m. Adding to that Ballack who's supposedly worth about £15M+. I wouldn't pay 15p for him!
January 11, 200718 yr I'm their squad last night was at least £100m more than that. I think I could win the league managing a team with unlimited budget!! I wonder where he'd be and how highly regarded as a manager he would be if he didn't win the champions league ...
January 11, 200718 yr Author If they fail to win the league this season (likely) and the champions league (again, likely) and possibly the FA Cup then all he'd have won in 3 seasons is 2 Leagues and 2 League Cups. 4 out of a possible 16 trophies with a pretty much unlimited budget. Really not that good!
January 11, 200718 yr He turned Chelsea into champions and now because of four draws (NOT DEFEATS!), everyone thinks he's c**p.
January 11, 200718 yr He turned Chelsea into champions and now because of four draws (NOT DEFEATS!), everyone thinks he's c**p. No, ABRAMOVICH turned them into champions, a monkey could do Mourinho's job.
January 11, 200718 yr Oh dear -_- He's into the later stages of the FA Cup, The Carling Cup and The Champions League as well as 2nd in the Premiership (which they've won twice in consessive season)... christ, I wish we had his problems  Still, just goes to show that buying big name players and sticking them together in a team doesn't automatically mean success -_- Edited January 11, 200718 yr by Y!kes
January 11, 200718 yr Author He turned Chelsea into champions and now because of four draws (NOT DEFEATS!), everyone thinks he's c**p. Four draws WHICH THEY SHOULD HAVE WON EASILY! Even Abramovic has supposedly had enough and he's not going to get any money from transfers in the window.
January 11, 200718 yr I would hardly call getting past MACCLESFIELD a huge achievement! Very true  But still, a minor hiccup no doubt  As much as i'd love to see Macclesfield cause one of the biggest upsets in the history of english football, I can't see it happening for them in the replay. In fact, I reckon Chelsea will hand out a right beating (Hope im wrong) :( Oh, and just to clarify.. I agree with you about him being WAY over-rated. My nan could probs do the same job as him with the unlimited transfer budget, to be fair

Actually they've beat 9 men.
January 11, 200718 yr Author One thing he can count himself lucky for is that there's no African Nations this year so he won't lose Geremi, Kalou, Drogba and Essien! That would really make him moan!
January 11, 200718 yr Author They've not played well all season, been really poor defensively and have been carried FAR too many times by Essien and Drogba. Without those two they'd be challenging to get into Europe, not the title!
January 11, 200718 yr You call 4th round in the FA cup later stages? they've bet one team.... Actually they've beat 9 men. Well, still  They're bound to progress.. they have to, they're Chelsea. "Defeat" is a dirty word to them -_-
January 11, 200718 yr Last year he made up an Essien injury just so he didn't play in the African nations cup. :manson:
January 11, 200718 yr Author We'll beat em in the next round! Well I'll live in hope. We could've beat the team they played last night!
January 11, 200718 yr Last year he made up an Essien injury just so he didn't play in the African nations cup. :manson: I remember reading about that <_< Seems the words "playing" and "fair" don't register within the team either -_-
January 12, 200718 yr No, ABRAMOVICH turned them into champions, a monkey could do Mourinho's job. How very, very wrong you are.
January 13, 200718 yr How very, very wrong you are. No, I reckon Alias is right in a way, tbh... Until Abrahmovic and his Russian Mafia (oops, sorry, Russian OIL) monopoly money came along just how good were Chelsea...? Perennial under-achievers, even with talented managers such as Vialli and Gullit, God, imagine what they could have achieved with the Abrahmovic billions..... I'm glad Chelsea are taking a dump at the moment, proof that having loadsamoney to chuck around does not always guarantee success....
