It's a shame that we're moving on from My Oh My so quickly, because I actually really like the song and had pretty high hopes for it to be a hit.

She is still promoting My Oh My and we had the live version put on her official youtube yesterday.

 

Seems like not many are liking it....

MOM was dead in the water on arrival (I love it personally) but can’t see anything making it a hit.

My bold prediction for Edge of Saturday Night is that it'll go Top 40 in the UK!

i mean a song should be released really as soon as you hear on radio etc or on streaming.

 

Thats still 2/3 weeks since the initial radio play last Saturday ( i know this was a mistake)

 

Its got momentum etc at the moment and got publicity on NME, Clash etc etc but like i said TBM has just released a new track today so 16th August still looking most likely by when a video should be ready.

 

Wonder if we will get phyisicals. i don't see why not, but i hope its a 1.99 CD etc rather than Dance Alone and Midnight Ride expensive ones to sell albums

I mean the song has been played for a few months on her set and no one new it was Kylie/Raye or indeed another demo singer so it's not like some don't know it.

 

Youtube views of a video are I think crucial to add to download and streaming in the first week of release.

 

The video gets on all the articles etc and people click and watch etc. It helped Padam and Tension a lot

Warner - big label so they certainly have the resources to push it if they wish, hoping they really get behind it as they will be keen to get the pre-orders up for TBMs new album.

Warner Ireland profits up last year and Padam Padam by Kylie was named as one of the reasons why

 

Warner have fleeced us for Sia and Orville collabs to sell their albums, imagine if they do the same and release physicals in Australia to sell TBM albums!! there will be outrage!

I hope they really push Edge of Saturday Night as a single as there seems to be great potential for it to do reasonable well.

The official version NEEDS to have Raye in! Sounds so good

I think RAYE is the original singer and the song is about 3 years old.

 

I guess Kylie took it over with TBM

 

Raye is not listed on TBM album so if she does appear it will probably be as a mix/remix etc

Maybe releasing a Raye remix 2-3 weeks after the initial release could help boost it.

I'm tempted to think if RAYE was the original vocalist in its inception, she probably doesn't want to be a part of it anymore with where she is as an artist in the years since... so her version won't come out in any official capacity.
