Ice Spice, one of hip-hop's breakout stars of recent years dropped her debut LP last week! It features the likes of Gunna and Travis Scott + the Central Cee collab 'Did It First'.

I always strive to maintain a positive outlook on albums, as I cannot do that with this mess :lol: Negative energy incoming...

 

 

This is really terrible unfortunately. I have really enjoyed some of her past material (including the majority of her debut EP) but this is unbelievably underwhelming for an artist who has previously displayed that she has many talents that she can utilise. Maybe the worst part of this album is how boring it is, her flows stay the same throughout the project and the production is pretty similar for each track. The bars just aren't that great (e.g. the lead single oop)... Funnily enough the only track that I return to is 'Did It First' which somehow works, even Central Cee's performance is reasonably good. This album just leaves me feeling a bit disheartened :(
