Posted January 11, 200718 yr 'EYES OPEN' - ITUNES ALTERNATIVE ALBUM OF 2006! 'Eyes Open' has been announced as itunes 'Best Alternative Album' of 2006. The album saw off strong competition from the likes of My Chemical Romance, Muse and The Flaming Lips to gain the honour announced on itunes.com. The news follows the announcement last month, that 'Eyes Open' was the biggest selling album in the UK in 2006, out-selling the likes of Scissor Sisters and Arctic Monkeys. 'Chasing Cars' has also jumped back up the charts to #9 despite the physical form of the single being deleted in November. New rules to the UK Top 40, now means that any track legally downloaded now counts towards a chart position, allowing 'Chasing Cars' to re-enter the Top 10. 'OPEN YOUR EYES' ANNOUNCED AS THE NEW UK SINGLE! The fourth single to be lifted from the million selling album 'Eyes Open', will be the stunning Open Your Eyes. The track which featured in the final episode of last seasons ER, will be released in the UK & Ireland on February 12th. The band are filming the video for the promo this week, we will be announcing details of the video and its exclusive airing in the coming weeks.
