Both teams look timid and scared to lose (understandable), but dear lord the lack of quality on show here across the board!

Spurs were utter trash but Man Utd didn’t have the quality or belief to overcome it. Very poorly managed game by Amorim. Only truly went for it when it was injury time.

This was the game we deserved - two terrible teams, but thought Spurs probably edged it.

I know I kick all the Utd fans and I won't deny as a football fan growing up in the 90s and 00s it will never not be funny, but totally get this game and season is now totally deflating. I'll of course take the piss as you've been beaten by serial trophy dodgers, but it's all in good taste. This current team is absolutely shocking though, I do genuinely think you're kidding yourselves if all it's going to take is a couple of signings. Take your medicine over the next 48 hours and we will all get bored and move on. Ultimately I think whichever team gets to the CL is going to get absolutely battered next season in it.

As soon as Spurs scored that was it, we were never scoring. Seen it over and over again this season. No belief, no quality, no game plan and only relying on them making a mistake. Can't see any back into the Champions League for a very very long time now, need an entire new starting XI let's be honest.

Not sure if it's more embarrassing sitting 16th in the league with no silverware or losing 4 times in one season to THIS Spurs team.

We got what we deserved. Not only for tonight but for the season as a whole. There's no excuses at all really and not only that but we're probably destined to finish directly above the relegation line on Sunday as we'll certainly lose to Aston Villa. But at least the season will finally be over once and for all in a few days time.

It just goes to further show that football moves in cycles and this is now our time to reach new lows but eventually the tide will turn even if takes a long while for that to happen. At the end of the day this is a different generation of players and club staff representing us compared to the 90's and 00's so the output is not guaranteed to be the same.

Worst United team since 73/74 season!

Why on Earth did Garnacho and Mainoo not start?

No way to spin it. Horrific season with no redeeming parts. Congrats to Tottenham for sure. I wish the Glazers would just sell the club.

Garnacho has been dogshit this season, wouldn't have changed anything

He’s probably your most dangerous player in terms of goal chances though. Doesn’t help by the fact the manager doesn’t like him!

We are back to the glazers again eh?

Yeah this one isn’t on the Glazers. I’ve said it before but the issue is the culture of the club. Too many average players on high wages along with too much pressures and expectations from the fan base and the media.

No footballing structure in place or clear identity of what the club wants or should be. Sounds silly but I remember when Liverpool were similar. It took that 2014-2015 season for the club to understand what a mess we were in. But behind the scenes people started coming together. I’ve seen a few articles with people saying the club can learn from when Liverpool lost the 2016 Europa League final! Personally I’m not sure Man Utd are in the same shape and will take the defeat in the same way Klopp and Liverpool did to use as a springboard.

As much as I do find the whole situation hilarious. I do think this is the worst it will get.

They got away with it when Ferguson was there but owners who don’t give a damn and have no interest in clearing the debt just leave a club in terminal decline. It needs a completely fresh start from top to bottom starting with them

Liverpool never ever sank as low as this. Regardless of all the problems at the club what matters is what happens on the pitch and all I see is a team that most other seasons would have been battling relegation. I don't see anything that gives me hope next season will be any different either...

I get that but it’s just funny how when yous beat Lyon you were making boastful statements about being ‘the biggest club in the world’ and yet a defeat in the final (which can happen in any knockout game) and you bring the Glazers up immediately. I feel they are an excuse for United when things go wrong.

Difference this year is the middle classes in the league are a lot better and anyone can beat anyone except the bottom 3. So it’s probably harder or maybe easier to get back to that top 7/8 depending on what way you look at it.

Winning the Europa League and getting 100 mill was the ultimate cheat code to bypass a crumbling system once that failed you can only reflect on what’s left

Chelsea Vs Real Betis in the Conference League final tonight. It's a weird one because it feels like it doesn't matter what the result will be yet there is a trophy on the line. I think Chelsea will win though.
