Posted January 13, 200718 yr I HOPE JAMELIA doesn’t check the music department of her local supermarket when she does her next shop. All the big grocery chains and High Street newsagents are punting her latest album Walk With Me for just £3.97. For about the price of a large Big Mac Meal, you can own an ex-Brit nominee and MOBO-winning singer’s work. Jamelia’s record label have clearly accepted a huge loss to improve flagging sales. Jamelia’s follow up to the successful Thank You only reached a high of No20 back in October. Within three months the cover price has dropped by nearly a tenner from £12.99. And poor Jamelia isn’t alone appearing in the January sales. Welcome To Loserville, by former Busted star JAMES BOURNE’s band SON OF DORK, is selling for £3.73 at Woolies, along with the self-titled debut by X Factor lads Journey South for £3.97. Dance king FATBOY SLIM’s Palookaville is going for £2 a pop at HMV, which also has BABYSHAMBLES’ Down In Albion for only £4. And at Borders Brit-winner JOSS STONE’s Mind, Body & Soul album is only £3.99. To mark Jamelia’s discount disaster I’ve opened a Bizarre Bargain Basement Bin. If you spot a top chart star selling tunes for the price of a multipack of crisps, let me know. From The Sun. Same price as large big mac
