One I thing I do remember is being really surprised that they got Vince to do the drag parts in the video  In previous videos it often felt like Andy was forcing someone into dressing up with him and Vince usually looked a bit uncomfortable but he just seemed to go along with it all in this one

Haha - no it's fine, it did definitely end up overtaking LAYLOM as being the song that everyone would remember from the EP... it's just a personal gripe that I wish it hadn't done
No big loss in the last 2

Had a look at the airplay charts and it backs up what Dandy* said. LAYLOM made No 9, SOS made No 38 and the other two didn't make the top 50 on airplay.

Marking their final top 10 single in almost a decade- the promo was shot in Berlin and of course features a pre fame Jason Statham as the dancer.

To be fair to Andy, that’s a pretty decent live vocal on Run to the Sun there. I’ve never actually seen them live, sadly. I was supposed to be going with an old school friend a couple of years back but they ended up cancelling the Nottingham gig

Another track that was lost in the run in to Christmas, the promo was filmed in Amsterdam with Bell visiting the “Homomonument” in the city. Due to chart regulations when a remix EP was released in January 92 it had to chart separately making No 22 itself.

I must have seen them on the same tour (for the first time) in Birmingham. He sounded as good as he did back in the 80s- remarkable really and well worth seeing them live.

I would definitely go if they tour again any time soon

I had a bad feeling that Am I Right wouldn’t last much longer :( You’ve all underrated it, it’s really beautiful and I love the second half where it all just collapses away… a really different sounding song for them and one that I think holds up as well today as it did back in 1991. I liked the Grid remix that was on their Christmas ep from the time also

I didn't expect 'Run To The Sun' out so early, but 1994 was the first year I fully followed the charts so this was only the second of their songs I heard. I ended up getting the album (on cassette) because of it as I already had its other singles on Now albums - haven't listened to it in almost 3 decades, but I do remember liking a few other tracks such as 'Take Me Back'.

Am I Right is pretty nice

Run to the sun, never liked it, over-rated

I think it was a case of them releasing the obvious uptempo track as the second single. It's definitely not one of their top tier songs - Jim aside of course, and I get that any song is always held more special etc if it was from a period you particularly identify with... that could well be why I like Am I Right so much more than the rest of you too.

I remember Am I Right was in my all time top 10 back then.

It's the weakest of the 4 singles for me now.

Took me ages to see Erasure live - finally caught them supporting Robbie Williams 7 or 8 years ago at St Mary's Southampton, glitterful fun. :)

First single from the album “Cowboy” and indeed first single in over a year from the boys which became their last 20 single for 6 years, but conversely their biggest hit in three years!

Another December release and another song that scrapped the top 20 for them, it was heavily edited by over 2 minutes from the album version when released. The track appeared originally on the film “Wigstock- The Movie” which showcased the annual drag festival in New York and was re-recorded for the album later on in the year for the album.
