Typical Popbitch description, lol. The site can have good gossip, but you have to sort through some dregs to get to it, so thanks for finding it and posting here.

 

A fight scene sounds very interesting. So much for it supposed to be filmed a couple of weeks ago, but I was getting a bit anxious wondering why we hadn't heard anything yet. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

Thank you. That was good. Shame that they spent so much time on the stammer and brought up Jordan, rather than on the new music. Gareth will probably want to publicise the McGuire programme but I hope the media interviewers find a better balance.

 

 

Gareth seems to be the kind of singer where the media are always interested in his personal life and him as a person. In some ways it helps with promotion, but there comes a point where it gets in the way, and the business end of things can be forgotten if it's not kept in check. Hopefully they'll get all those issues out of their system soon, and maybe that's why they've been holding back on releasing the full song and video. It's understandable that the press are interested in these other things. They do interviews with singers plugging their music day in and day out, but it's very rare to speak to someone who has Gareth's experiences.

I actually think he will struggle to make a successful comeback. He's left it too long out of the lime light and his new material isnt commercial enough.

We'll just have to wait and see. It will be harder because of the time away, but there is clearly a certain amount of interest. I think there are a lot more fans waiting for him to return than a lot of people realise. I think it will hinge on whether or not the radio stations are willing to give him a chance, and if his new label appreciates that they've got to build him up again and that it is likely to take more than one single.

 

The good news is that Gareth seems to be more than capable of charming the socks off of everyone he's been meeting, so whatever happens chart-wise, he's going to come out of this with a lot more respect and goodwill from the press than he ever had before. :D

THE GATE OUTDOORS

I hear Gareth Gates is busking in the glory of his new record deal. The baby-faced Pop Idol singer will take to the streets of London and sing his new track Angel On My Shoulder in front of shoppers.

Angel on My Shoulder isn't his new track, but an in-store, or out of store, performance to coincide with his album release sounds good to me!

I wish I would live in London now, lol :dance:

I've just been told that Gareth's new single is Record of the Week on Key 103 Radio station. It should be played between 1 and 4 every afternoon, if anyone is interested in listening.

I hope he has a hit too. It is not so easy to achieve a top10 but as Gareth but this is written in his biog:

 

"And while he says he still hasn’t lost his hunger to sell records, or for people to hear his music, Gareth is content with the album he always wanted to make. These aren't songs which need to be Number One to justify their existence"

Listening to the DJ last night he said "the album was amazing". Great words from one in the industry and I would think these are the people Gareth is listening to.
