Honestly, I'm Gareth's fan

So do I. He should be treated as a mature singer right now :P

has he an album ready for release or is is just a few songs yet

The album is ready for release. There has been no official date given as yet for release, but Woolies, Virgin and Amazon have it for pre-order with release date as 16th April (don't think so somehow :o ), whilst Play.com have got it as July. We're just going to have to wait for an official date from 19.

Personally I think there will be a second single before the album is released.

Wouldn't it be funny if 'Angel On My Shoulder' was available for downloads and charted higher than 'Changes'. I wonder if that could happen?

Does anyone know if that can happen? Mikey where are you???

Just seen the first live performance of Changes on Popworld. Just loved it Live. Gareth's voice seems to be so much stronger.

Did anyone record it( throws yet another cr*p dvd player out of the window)?

Its a grower, give it a few more listen.

The performance on Popwolrd was fantacstic, just loved it.. :cheer:

I quite liked it at first, but have since gone off it - dull, dull, dull. Sorry. He could have looked a bit more enthusiastic about his comeback on Popworld too :o

Great live performance I thought. Very strong vocals by Gareth. It sounded a lot different to the recorded version. Must be such a treat for Gareth to be able to perform live with his own band

Considering that was his first public live performance for three years and after all the claptrap he's had to put up with, I think he did fantastically well. And it bodes well for the future. I thoroughly enjoyed it :cheer: :cheer:

I've listened to the recorded version of Changes a few times, and just wasn't sure whether I liked it or not. The live version on Popworld this morning was soooo much better. Gareth's voice seems to have matured nicely ... his performance was faultless. Loved it.

Here you go!

Great performance, and by the look of his schedule, he's got a very busy week ahead of him. I hope I get to hear some of the radio stuff, and I've already set my video for next week's Jonathon Ross!

Tnks for putting that up. Really loving this performance

I think I'm going to miss most of these radio appearances, but hope to be able to listen to some of it later in the day. No way am I going to miss the Jonathan Ross show though

I agree that the live version was much better than the recorded one which is a shame as that is the one that most people will hear.

I don't agree the live version was better. It was different but not better and that's a good thing as it shows Gareth can vary his songs, which is what he was unable do too much of previously. With the exception of Sunshine and his CDUK piano playing version of What My Heart Wants To Say. Still my favourite live performance

I often prefer the live versions of Gareth's songs, because it seems that you get to hear his voice better, and I love his voice! His voice seems to have more resonance in that version than the recorded one.
Not to crazy about this at the moment.....hope it grows though :)

Ditto

Thanks for the popworld live performance. Bloody great to see it again.

See Gareth is visiting the radio stations this week. Let's hope that gains him some airplay. Fingers and toes are crossed.

I have just heard Changes sang acoustic on a radio station and have to say even though I love the CD version, this acoustic one was just beautiful. Sounded absolutely great.

Just managed to listen to a recording of this. Simply outstanding  Brought tears to my eyes

I'm loving the sound of that album. No matter how its received, he's done it the way he wants to hasn't he.

I love changes, but heard Angel on my shoulder played on radio 2 this afternoon, and its a lot more catchy, I absolutely love it.

You can listen again on the Radio 2 site too. It was on Steve Wright show, just before 3pm.
