April 14, 200718 yr Loved the musical interview on Popworld this morning. So funny. And what an amazing performance of AOMS on JR radio program. Every accoustic performance I've heard him give has been great, but this one was truly fantastic
April 14, 200718 yr Just listened to Angel on My Shoulder on JR yesterday. Great song, much better than Changes - hope they don't overproduce it on the album - I love live acoustic tracks.
April 14, 200718 yr I love live acoustic tracks. Me too. My ultimate dream would be for Gareth to make an accoustic album  I even sent in a question to ask him if he would, sometime in the near future. No harm in hoping
April 14, 200718 yr I love acoustic versions too, but have to say that Angel on my shoulder sounds great on the cd, I heard it on radio2 when they had it on their play list for a couple of weeks, and Steve Wright called it a really really good song. :yahoo:
April 14, 200718 yr Just heard Angel on my shoulder..it's a good song..and Gareth sounded good singing it. god knows why they went with Changes though..compared with this song..Changes should of stayed an album track. i think it will be AOMS that sells Gareths album and i think he will get his much needed airplay with this song too. acoustic songs can be amazing..i want an album full of them from Will one day..
April 15, 200718 yr Acoustic versions of songs can work so well if the singer isn't just a good singer, but if they have an attractive voice, which can be lacking in a lot of people who can hold a tune. I think fundamental to Pop Idol was the heats round to get from 50 to 10 that had each person singing with just a piano. The quality of the voice was paramount. I heard the studio version of Angel On My Shoulder on Radio 2 a coupe of weeks ago, and it sounded very good. It has quite a bit of production, but I think in a good way, to support and develop the song, rather than to swamp it. I look forward to hearing it again, but not too soon, because I don't want it to peak too soon. I still think Changes is a good song, but it sounds like an album track, not single. The difference between album tracks and singles shouldn't be about quality, more about how accessible it is, and in which circumstances you might listen to it, and I think the artists themselves are rarely in the best position to know which is which from an album they have been working very closely on for months (or years). If you missed it, the Popworld interview. 3Gr03gez6gM
April 15, 200718 yr If you missed it, the Popworld interview. That interview on PW was hilarious. Please don't play the trumpet on any future tracks though Gareth. Stick to the piano and guitar  Edited April 15, 200718 yr by val4jadan
April 16, 200718 yr I LOVED Gareth's musical interview on Popworld, He was really funny trying to play instruments and singing out the answers to the questions he was asked. His personality shone throughout the interview and it was AMAZING to see. Gareth's interview on on Radio One with Jr was BRILLIANT, I am SO pleased he was able to go on there and give such a great interview. Hearing him singing Angel On My Shoulder just blew me away, It's one of those songs that once you hear it you just want more. :D
