Oh how come Jay has taken over the results after all Mr X's great work?

I'll be there so deserving of it's high spot, I did not realise it was so loved by the fanbase!

'Cause, baby, I believe in honesty

A man that's strong and true

I shouldn't have to say now, baby

That I believe in you

Maybe it's nothin', maybe it's all just in my mind

Maybe I'm foolish, maybe it's just a waste of time

But I don't think so, maybe I definitely know

Why do I keep fooling myself? Why can't I let go?

This is not like me, but now I definitely see

That maybe, oh, maybe, maybe I'm in love

Sorry for the delay! Here's the Top 2 as voted for by BuzzJack. The runner up is Emma's biggest solo hit, 'What Took You So Long?', pipped to the post by her fan favourite and critically acclaimed 'Maybe'.

'What Took You So Long?' couldn't have launched Emma's debut album era any more perfectly. It entered straight in at #1 in the UK in April 2001, and what's more it spent 2 weeks at the top - the first solo single by a Spice Girl to enjoy a longer stay than one week. It was also a big radio hit in the UK, reaching #2. The song was written by Emma, along with Richard Stannard, Julian Gallagher, Martin Harrington, John Themis and Dave Morgan, and produced by Stannard and Gallagher in Biffco Studios in Dublin, Ireland. An accompanying music video, directed by Gregg Masuak, was shot in mid-February 2001 at the Mojave Desert near Lancaster, California.

'Maybe' was the second release from her 2004 sophomore album 'Free Me', and reached its peak of #6 in October 2003 - Emma's fifth Top 10 hit as a solo artist. Emma wrote it with Yak Bondy, with Mike Peden on production duties. Emma described the song as having "a real retro feel", and reviews called it sophisticated, 60s, bubblegum pop, infectious, a pop gem and even a masterpiece - deserved praise! The music video complimented the song's 60s vibe, inspired by the film Sweet Charity.

(Apologies for the rather short commentaries, but I should have done this days ago and I'm writing this at gone 3am, maybe not the ideal time! )

Thank you to everyone who voted - and please share your love and thanks to Mr.X for organising this event, working out the results and then posting them with such passion and knowledge! Thank you Mr.X for a very enjoyable thread, it's been great celebrating Bunton's fabulous discography!

Maybe needs a revival Sophie & Kate style!
