The Horrors are back with their first album since 2017! 'Night Life' is out on 21st March next year, with lead single 'The Silence That Remains' out now.

 

They did release two alright EPs in 2021, but this sounds like a return to form for them.

'Trial By Fire', 'Lotus Eater', and 'More Than Life' have all released in the last few months - with the latter out today:

 

Surprised I never commented in here at the time but 'The Silence That Remains' is excellent, was a multi-week #1 in my chart.

 

'Lotus Eater' is strong too and 'Trial By Fire' good if not as essential as the others, looking forward to checking out the new song later.

Really looking forward to listening to this album as a whole on Friday!

So listened to the new album yesterday and there’s some nice tracks. ‘The Silence that Remains’ is 11/10 but ‘Lotus Eater’, ‘Trail By Fire’, ‘LA Runway’ and ‘More Than Life’ are all really strong. Especially the latter, that’s my favourite of the unheard album tracks, really great track!

'LA Runaway' is my favourite of the new songs and I see that's now been playlisted by 6Music

I did like 'Lotus Eater' anyway but it's actually hit me harder in the context of the album.

I see the album charted at #16 in the end, not bad.

This is my album of the year after half a dozen plays, LA Runaway is amazing!
