Chart 18.10.24

 

We've moved on from BRAT summer, and we are now in the height of BRATumn! BRAT has been one of my most played albums of the year, and this week it gets a nice boost thanks to the incredible remix album which dropped last week! I love how a lot of the songs are reworked, its really worked for most of them! As per chart rules, every remix will have its points and chart run combined with the original version of the track in the database, and both versions' streams will be combined and tallied into this weeks chart (the most popular version charting) but annoyingly here they'll be credited mostly as new entries!

 

This week, Sympathy is a knife has shown itself to remain the best song on BRAT, by returning to its peak with a 45 spot climb back to the top following a remix from Ariana Grande! Combined, both versions tallies up a big 73 streams, putting it 6th in the yearly biggest streaming weeks! The original version is above it, claiming the 5th biggest streaming week of the year back in June where it clocked 80 streams the week it first reached the top of the chart! 2-4 is incredibly close this week, but the Mean girls remix with Julian Casablancas is the runner up at #2 with 36 plays. Just behind, 365 with Shygirl is at #3 with 35, jumping a massive 45 spots! And in at #4 is another Julian Casablancas song. This one is from 2013. Instant Crush by Daft Punk featuring him has unexpectedly become a hit, following a listening party i did prior to the remix album where i played one random song from each artist featured! This one seemed to click and has made its way into the chart, clocking up 32 streams this week! Gracie Abrams claims a 5th Top 5 from The Secret of Us, with I Love You, I'm Sorry this week following a live version being released! #6 is Damiano David, #7 is Addison Rae, while #8 is Everything is romantic, featuring Caroline Polachek! The summery anthem has been reworked into an autumnal anthem! Camila Cabello has remixed a dance hit Move by Adam Port and Stryv, in at #9. The 360 remix with Robyn and Yung Lean returns at #10!

 

Lower Down, I have rediscovered The Adults Are Talking by The Strokes, and I am surprised to find out it never charted for me, I listened to it quite a bit in the new year so I'm surprised it wasn't enough to make my weekly top 50s! Its in now anyway! There are plenty more Charli remixes entering, even the Kesha remix of Spring breakers which was surprise released later in the week! The only notable newbie is Mabel & Ty Dolla Sign with Stupid Dumb!

 

Next week, JADE releases her 2nd single Fantasy, so itll be interesting to see if it can do as well as Angel of My Dreams!
