My 8th studio album, she’s on her way!

I’ve been singing for 30 years now - i know! - and throughout my career I’ve been lucky enough to happily play with many music genres, but my heart beats the fastest for pop. This album is a celebration of that relationship. In fact, it’s a celebration of lots of things, including being the age I’m at and still having so many adventures and so much fun!

I turned 46 last month and I’m enjoying getting older. I’m feeling more excited than ever about the music I’m making, and believe me when I say that is a GREAT feeling! It’s thanks to many things, not least the women that went before me and the women who will follow. I’ve also found myself surrounded by so many incredible women and been talking to many for my podcast. Plus finally, and crucially, I’ve been able to work with so many talented folk. Old friends and new, it’s been glorious.💥

‘Perimenopop’ is an album that’s intention is to bring you joy; it’s fun, it’s bold and it’s playful. I had this incredible feeling while I was writing it, that I didn’t have to try to be anyone else. I could just head towards what excited me and what excited those I was working with. That feeling is in part down to you and your support. Honestly, it’s the best gift you can give me when I’m creating new music. Thank you so much. ✨

To celebrate, I’m throwing a very special launch show in one of my favourite London venues, KoKo, on September 8th 💃 pre-sale goes live next Wednesday 14th, general sale on Friday 16th. Pre-order ‘Perimenopop’ via the link in my bio before next Tuesday 13th May 2025 for pre-sale access. It’ll be the first time I play the album in full live, alongside some old favourites too of course 🥳

Oh, and my new single ‘Taste’ is out now! Co-written with the brilliant @jonshave and @mnek, it was one of my favourite days in the studio and makes me dance every time I hear it.

"At the end of my twenties it seemed I was pushing too hard with my pop music and not really getting anywhere. I switched to some incredibly meaningful more left-field albums. They meant so much to me but my collaborator Ed Harcourt and I always envisaged 3 albums and done. As I released the 3rd of the albums made in that chapter - Wanderlust, Familia and Hana - I knew it was time to go back to pop"
