Posted November 15, 2024Nov 15 10th November 2024 It's 2 weeks on top for You Again in a fairly static top 10, bar Duran Duran adding another top 5 to their 43-year list of top 5's in Evil Woman, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor adds to her top 10's of 24 years or so, never far from the upper reaches ever, and Freedom Of The Night is typically catchy, classy and fun. The highest new entry is from The Jackson Sisters, a 1973 track which finally got a belated minor entry in the late 80's charts in the UK, and has never been a hit - though it has been a hit cover in the UK: I Believe In Miracles has been lined up for a couple of years as a BJSC potential, but now it's selling on download for some reason I have probably missed the boat and an opportunity to say "I was ahead of the game!" New at 24. Father John Misty gets a 3rd chart entry with Screamland, having gone top 5 for me in 2022 on the fab retro-40's styled Funny Girl, Bakermat keep the recent run of dance tracks going with Without Ya and what is said to be a Gladys Knight sample (though it doesn't sound like her singing, so not convinced unless they've altered the vocal a bit, but still a very strong voice). and two former chart-toppers get follow-up's: Reve and Rose Gray, while Kylie grabs an 8th track off Tension II. It's not as good as a raise, but it's nice to be appreciated :) No worries about commenting I'm usually late with my chart and in a hurry or I'd comment regardless, not least cos I went to London, toe or not, and have now booked 2 weeks away from 13th to GC, it's like I barely live in the UK last 3 months in a desperate attempt to get some sunshine and before I do more damage to bones :lol: So Xmas cards and the rest got to be done in the next 3 weeks... Ah, I misremembered Divine then, not surprising! :lol: I have considered Walk Like A Man for BJSC as it's got a hilarious video, but the song has been top 10 for The Four Seasons.
