It's Pet Shop Boys back on top for a 6th week 37 years after What I Have Done (To Deserve This) was last there, giving the late legendary Dusty Springfield an extra week to add to her total as well as Neil & Chris. They popped up at the intro of Strictly on Saturday with a top megamix of their classic 80's hits, most of which popped up in the itunes sales chart afterwards, so I used that to bring the original version of my fave PSB single back. In 1987 it was one of the songs (and albums) accompanying my California/Nevada holiday, so it's nice it's back just after I get back from my last Florida holiday.

Duran Duran have to make do with 2 for now, as Evil Woman duplicates what the original did for ELO for quite a number of weeks until I decided to have a joint number one with ABBA's Mamma Mia one week in 1976. Tom Grennan is up to 4, Higher but not as high as his chart-topping Lionheart, while father John Misty leaps high into the top 20, but not yet as high as his Funny Girl got, followed closely by JADE, outdoing most Little Mix singles - only Wings did better out of 16 chart entries - on the very catchy Fantasy.

Reve overtakes herself, and highest new entry (other than the oldie) is a revamp of Bon Jovi's It's My Life with Pitbull, quite lively at 75, while further new tracks force me to expand my chart to 90 again: Ice Cube has been absent for almost 20 years as he suddenly extends his chart span to 35 years with So Sensitive, melodic hip hop with a message, it's like the olden days. I daresay some won't like the message, and get upset, which is rather the point. Reverend And The Makers drop off the top spot, but never fear. they have a new solo entry at 86 in Late Night Phone Call. Sam Fender gets his second chart hit, Gwen Stefani has a new album out and one of the tracks pops in, just ahead of an obscure bonus track from Madonna's Ray Of Light album, 26 years late.
