Posted November 28, 2024Nov 28 Norway 2025 Kyle Alessandro Lighter J33XVmhk_fY I’m not sure if I saw a topic already, if so - I apologize! Starting to see some names float around, not sure when we will get a proper announcement. One of the names I’ve been seeing a lot is… KEIINO.
November 28, 2024Nov 28 If they couldn’t win with Monument or Damdiggida they really need to stop ngl
December 29, 2024Dec 29 KEiiNO announcing their next single is out on 10th January! Looking promising :kink:
January 16Jan 16 CALLING SILAS Bobbysocks – Joyful Tone Damli – Last Song Kyle Alessandro – Lighter Nora Jabri – Sulale Sondrey – Vagabond Nataleen – The Game Ladybug – Hot as Hell in Paradise Wig Wam – Human Fire LLL – Parasite So a couple of previous Norwegian representatives, but neither are KEiiNO! Songs are out tomorrow.
January 16Jan 16 Songs are out next friday, 24th of january. Someone has been telling lies about the release date of MGP entries...and I think it is eurovision.tv!
January 16Jan 16 Mother-in-law. (I like the sound of Tone's though, but this is a very mid selection indeed. Bobbysocks haven't heard any new music in 40 years it seems).
January 24Jan 24 My rank: 1. Tone Damli – Last Song (I will always love Tone, and this is a great little pop song, even if not competitive for Eurovision, but nothing in here is anyway) 2. Nataleen – The Game (it's definitely an underbaked Queen Of Kings/Run To The Hills, but with some decent staging it could do ok, and it could be borderline for making the Eurovision final - instantly catchy/familiar melody) ----------- 3. Bobbysocks – Joyful (I've always got time for naff schlager, it's not what works in Eurovision in 2025 but still a delight that they are still around and it's instantly catchy) 4. Ladybug – Hot as Hell in Paradise (has some potential on repeated listens) 5. Kyle Alessandro – Lighter (being tipped as the early winner online apparently - it's kind of Shawn Mendes/Troye Sivan about a decade ago with quite dated late-2010s production, not sure it's competitive, let's see what he's like live) ----------- 6. Nora Jabri – Sulale (I loved her 2012 MGP entry, but not this) 7. Sondrey – Vagabond (forgettable The Weeknd pastiche) 8. WigWam – Human Fire (a long way behind In My Dreams and comes across as a bit of a cliché, but not in a good way) 9. LLL – Parasite (crap/forgettable pop! Apparently Ben Adams from A1 and Nora Jabri co-wrote this) Tone or Nataleen please! But I think Norway will have a hard slog into the final this year, depending on the competition.
January 24Jan 24 I agree Last Song and The Game are both probably the best songs and probably the best shot Norway have of qualifying but they feel very borderline, could easily be 12th in the semi and just forgotten. A really disappointing bunch of songs when for the last few years they’ve had at least one or two strong contenders besides the song that won. Imagine how Damdiggida, Honestly, Oblivion or Monument would absolutely tear up this field.
January 24Jan 24 Yeah, Keiino definitely chose the wrong year to sit out (or for the organisers to snub them). Nearly every single they've released is probably more competitive than this entire field. Edited January 24Jan 24 by gooddelta
January 24Jan 24 We have Tone Damli and NOTHING else is required. They should have just internally selected her and be done with it tbh. We all know queen Tone is the only valid option here. I am going to Norway in August and I will RIOT if they chose incorrectly
