April 9, 200619 yr I agree with you 100% Josh :D I see you did a quadruple posts  He obviously feels very strongly about it!
April 9, 200619 yr Everyone is entitled to their own opinion AND taste in music. You're very keen to share yours with everyone, so let others have theirs too....even if it's not what YOU like! :P After all there are 430 members on here, and they can't all have the same taste, nor all be fans of one artist - so live and let live! :whip: It really is a bit pathetic, telling people how they can or can't vote. In a poll like this which is only supposed to be a bit of fun, isn't it obvious that people are going to vote for their favourite artist if they get the chance. Sounds a bit like sour grapes to me. I've voted for my favourite artist, but I know full well no-one else is going to vote for him, but that's no reason to gripe at others who may have more people voting for the one they've voted for. And I'm sure there are artists who have more fans on here than Darius has, so what's stopping them voting for them. Come on folks lighten up, its only a game :D I've not seen all this complaining when the best songs get voted off the Survivor games right at the start, every time ;)
April 9, 200619 yr I don't particularly mind but I can guarentee the two best songs of the last 10 years will end up being Colour Blind and Left Outside Alone because of the amount of groupies they have on here when they clearly AREN'T. The only people that are voting for Darius seem to have him as the top one. i.e. Only the people who are Daruis "fans" like him, no one else actually does!
April 9, 200619 yr as Val said if you are a fan you will like the song, its only a poll, I think some will show this in later polls when it will be obvious they are voting as fans! and as has been said, Darius won't crop up in later polls(mores the pity IMO)live twice is a good song. I found some songs on the list dire, probably ones that others thought good - thats life - no one can be right or wrong
April 9, 200619 yr 2002 had some great songs but of course most of them dont feature here...some do tho, fortunately, but i can only find 17 songs i dont dislike...i dont even like all of them, but im voting to stop any of the years abysmal dance records doing well it was soooo hard to decide between the 3 songs that easily stand out as the year's best from this list: dirrty, whenever wherever (tho underneath your clothes is far superior) and by the way as always, numbers indicate PREFERENCE ORDER, NOT points 1. April 9, 200619 yr i know theres already been an arguement about it but someone explain to me how you could like colourblind? its awful. and it really does make a farce of it when tone deaf fans just vote for the record and noone else actually does and yet it will score highly...but thats democracy
April 9, 200619 yr I'm not aware of any other contributors in this thread who have been asked to justify their opinion. That's what it is an OPINION. I have mine and you yours. If you want to find out why Darius's fans like him or any of his songs, I'm sure you'll find the answer in the Darius forum.

Therefore, why is it so incredible that a lot of people on this Forum do actually think it was the best record of that year That is what a poll is for, so people can vote for what they like - I like the first 4 records on your list, but can you please explain to me what you see in Coldplay, I think they are terrible!! :D As you say, that is democracy :) Oh, and, we are not arguing, we having a debate!! :D Julie
April 9, 200619 yr It may only been a bit of fun and of course everyone is'nt going to have the same opinion but all the people that have voted for Darius are big fans of his. If you look over this thread it's just a tad bit obvious that they have all been informed about this poll. I don't see any other groups of people who are all placing the same artists in first place do you? ;) Oh and although i'm not a big Coldplay fan In my place is FAR better than Colourblind. But that's obviously jusy my opnion Edited April 9, 200619 yr by Scotty
April 9, 200619 yr You told me that all OFs had been informed by some mod or other in your response to me pages ago. So what's your point now? Edited April 9, 200619 yr by Baytree
April 9, 200619 yr You told me that all OFs had been informed by some mod or other in your response to me pages ago. So what's your point now? My point is that their is a thread in your forum asking people to vote, which is fine and explains why so many people are placing him at #1 ;)
April 10, 200619 yr My point is that their is a thread in your forum asking people to vote, which is fine and explains why so many people are placing him at #1 ;) I put the thread in there Scotty :) - 'thisispop' had posted about it within a thread in the Darius forum and I thought it might be missed where it was that's all. There's nothing stopping anyone else doing the same. I am a Darius fan, but I didn't actually put Colourblind at #1 myself - but like I assume most people do, I did genuinely rank the songs in order of my own preference - those are the songs, which I enjoyed the most from that list and accept that other people will like different songs to me for all sorts of reasons. I do think that Colourblind is a good song - it's one of my favourties of his singles and a lot of other people I know that don't even like Darius liked Colourblind - so, to me it was a popular song that year for many people. If I didn't really like it, I sincerely wouldn't have voted for it. Much as I liked the Stereophonics - I've just realised I've got them on the list twice  - so, I've just edited my post, if the votes haven't already been counted - then it won't matter - but if they have it should really be -7 pts for the Stereophonics and +7 for Ronan Keating's - ITNC :P - sorry tip :(
April 10, 200619 yr 1. Girls Aloud – Sound Of the Underground (20pts) 2. Christina Aguilera - Dirrty 3. Pink – Just Like a Pill 4. Shakira – Whenever Wherever 5. DJ Sammy – Heaven 6. Nelly & Kelly Rowland – Dilemma 7. Justin Timberlake – Like I Love You 8. Lasgo – Something 9. Nickelback – How You Remind Me 10. Enrique Iglesias – Hero 11. Holly Valance – Kiss Kiss 12. PPK - Resurrection 13. Puretone – Addicted To Bass 14. Daniel Bedingfield – If You’re Not The One 15. Pink – Get The Party Started 16. Oasis – Stop Crying Your Heart Out 17. Liberty X – Just A Little 18. Scooter – Logical Song 19. Ashanti - Foolish 20. Stereophonics - Handbags & Gladrags
April 10, 200619 yr What a pile of old $h!te over something thats meant to be fun Where are all the Will Young Fans then ... voting for their golden boy .... Everyone who has heard of this poll has an opportunity to vote Where is everyone else. As we say it in politicial circles, if you want your candidate to win you have to G O T V ... get out the vote ... You want someone else to win - get out canvassing for them. Have to say it though, Fans of the Bearsden Sex God are extremely adept and faithful about voting .... any mention of a poll with D in it ... whoomph they are on to it like longdogs ... Other artists should be so lucky to have such loyalty which by the way is something the man himself values deeply. How do I know? He has told me so. Personally. Twice. Darius Danesh is here to stay as far as his fans are concerned Live with it. I have to live with Coldplay

You will find the few who have voted have been honest in their voting. As you say it's a fun poll. However some feel they have something to prove. If you look at my voting you will see I have included Colourblind. It is certainly a lot beter than most of the $h!t singles he has produced since. Apologies to everyone else for the rant but Will fans have nothing to do with the bias in this poll. Just Trishiboo $h!t stirring. Edited April 10, 200619 yr by gillwill
