Lovely report - thanks for bringing it over SWF.

And thanks TT for letting me know where the review came from. :D

Evening all :)

Well, I see the news of my meeting has already reached here and thank you for being so excited for me, I was a tad excited myself you know :cheer:

I have to say he was everything I expected him to be and more. It was very short but very sweet and totally unexpected, which somehow makes it more precious.

Sadly, being a bit of a dumb blonde I didn't have a thing with me for him to sign and I'm so sorry Chrysalis as he didn't come out in the evening I wasn't able to get our programmes signed but maybe there will be another time.

He really was a perfect gentleman and so sweet but goodness me he looks so young :o And what is most unusual about him is he engages you in complete eye contact, which is actually quite terrifying at the time but very special afterwards - and what stunning eyes they are too! And actually, he's very beautiful in the flesh - all a bit overwhelming to be honest!!

Anyway, on to the play itself. I thought it was simply spiffing :D I knew Will was good by the reports on here and Devoted but I wasn't quite prepared for how good. You would never have known it was a stage debut and he more than held his own with the other actors on stage. So very proud of him. His comic timing is spot on, in fact he's a natural. But the last scene was so powerful, completely blew me away, the tension in the audience was palpable, which just goes to show how well Diana and Will portrayed their characters. What did strike me was that fans have been reporting that at the end Will gives such a huge smile. Well last night he didn't. Both he and Diana still had tears in their eyes as they took their bows and I truly believe they had a "moment" on stage last night where they completely connected with their characters. It was very powerful. My friend Janine was completely overcome at the end and surely that is what theatre is all about. Each member of the audience having their own experience - and going away at the end thinking about the issues raised in the play. Well, it certainly got me thinking so well done to the cast of the Vortex - you were splendid :)

Thanks so much for your report Lainey.

Seems you managed to share a special moment with Will both on & off stage.

Great to hear Will more than exceeded your expectations which makes me more eager to see it for myself.

Thanks for your report Lainey, it was lovely to read of your meeting with Will

Thanks for your report Lainey and I'm so glad you got to say hello to Will, his eyes stop you in your tracks don't they?
Thanks Lainey - so pleased you got to meet him - this play is certainly giving everyone food for thought. I was thinking maybe we should keep some in reserve for after the play when he goes away on holiday. :P
That's a lovely report Lainey. Don't think for a moment about the signing, as far as I'm concerned. It would have been nice, but I do have Kudu, and the important thing was that you got to meet and speak to Will, and that you really enjoyed the play. :D And I'm so very happy for you on both counts.

Just got back from the play and what can I say... he was amazing he has definitely worked on his range of emotions ..he seemed to have calmed down certain expressions and other emotions where shown in a more deeper way, the last scene was stunning the depth of his anger ....he shouted at his mother a number of times :o  ......way much better than last week, at the end my hubby turned to me and said 'wow Will took it up a gear tonight ' he kept going on about how Wills portrayal of his emotions had improved dramatically, my hubby was well impressed in fact he asked could we try and go on Wednesday :o :P

After it finished we had a drink there was quite a few people waiting for Will to come out, diana came out with champagne and ran up to 3 young girls hugged them and said ' he is in the dressing room' when she went past i got her autograph she was lovely then i heard someone say 'here he is' and lots of ooohhhs and aaahhhhs... he came out and said 'hello everyone' and started to sign peoples programmes [ white t shirt and jeans and a thin scarf around his neck ...for those interested ;) ]

I thought welllll........ I suppose I could go up as he was signing mine I said that I thought he was fantastic tonight ...he stopped writing looked me straight in the eye :o and said thank you very much we sat back down and i realised the table next to us had the rest of the cast sitting there [Will went and sat with diana and the 3 girls [ I think I heard her say they were her family] a few tables away on our left.

I went over to the cast ... wow I was brave tonight and asked if they would all sign my programme they really seemed genuinely delighted to do it and were asking my thoughts on the play..kept me talking for ages [ Could Will laughing and talking very loudly  ].

They left a few minutes later and I realised the only people left in the foyer was a table of people sitting at the far end by the box office and Will and his party sitting a few tables away from us.... was very surreal we decided to leave and I could hear Will's big belly laugh has we walked away.

Thanks for your report BYM&M's and you managed to meet him and all the cast as well. :o :yahoo: I'm thinking that the 9th of march seems too long to wait now and I might squeeze another performance in, that's if I can get a ticket for next week.

Wow, it sounds like you had quite a night!

I still have to wait a couple of weeks until I get to go and see it :(

What was so unique about me meeting Will was that I was the only one there! I couldn't believe it. Lovely reports from everyone - keep them coming! :D
WOW :yahoo: BYm+m's - sounds like a brilliant night. There you are - we told you you could meet Will without embarrassing yourself.
It was weird because I was not even nervous, I thought I would be a bumbling wreck but I felt no different than if i had spoken to anyone I did not know ^_^ when he stopped writing and looked into my eyes and held my gaze I remember thinking how attractive he is ...he is far better looking close up :o :P
Thanks BYM&Ms - he's probably enjoying meeting so many fans in relaxed surroundings - as they are to meet him.
.....when he stopped writing and looked into my eyes and held my gaze.......

Any of us going tonight?

Any of us going tonight?

Wish I lived a bit nearer I'd be there like a shot. :(

Only 18 more days to wait!

Any of us going tonight?

I'm sure there will be some from D and OS. Like TT I wish I lived nearer. A neighbour of mine is a commercial airline pilot, and one of his hobbies is flying a small plane that he built. Though somehow I don't think he would fly me to Manchester and back just to see The Vortex.
