I just got the impression everyone, but everyone was going to the opening, so I'm glad I shan't be on my own. :cheer:

I'm going on 24 January, sitting next to Panther (Susan) and her friend. Just as I did in Birmingham! I am going to the matinee and will fly up and back on the same day. Much cheaper and better than going to a bland hotel. Also my husband is not well so don't want to be away too long. He has had a mild stroke but is recovering well.

We are going on Will's birthday. Because it's a long journey from us we are driving up on the Saturday morning and staying overnight. To make the most of the trip we are going to both performances. I can't wait. :yahoo:

So very glad your husband's on the mend Dot.

Glad to hear the news about your hubby Dot, hope he continues to make a good recovery.

Just read the news about the large poster being sold out!! I've pm'd you Chrysalis, but blimey I didn't expect them to sell out that quickly - wonder if they'll do a re-print?

So chuffed for Julie and Lee, can you imagine the excitement! Was excited before but even more so now.

I'm going on the 27th so will be here on opening night as well, waiting for all the news - going to be a mess I think!!!!!

but blimey I didn't expect them to sell out that quickly

I don't think Rexgirl did either Lainey - this is what she wrote:

I've told Box Office just to take details of anyone interested in a large poster. That's in case once the emails have been dealt with there are any remaining.

I havent viewed the emails so I don't know the state of play.

I doubt the large ones will be reprinted as they were being sold at cost price. It would not be cost effective to print more.

I knew marketing had said the large posters were limited edition but I didn't realise how LIMITED they were

Thanks for the up-date Munchkin, I'll ring the box office today and leave my details for a large one - oh that it was that easy B)

Neither did we. Couldn't believe your pm Lainey telling me that, that's as quick as Will's gig tickets, if not quicker. :o Thanks for your efforts Lainey  - I've pmmed you. :D

With the Vortex almost a sell out Chris has calcuated that around 43,920 people could watch Will's stage debut. :yahoo:

Thanks TT, it's lovely to know that the tickets have sold so well, it'll be the first time I've ever been to a theatre to watch a serious play in my life, it's going to be a whole new experience for me and also for lot of other Will fans I guess. He's certainly enriching my life that's for sure, it's great being a Will fan. :yahoo:

It's a first for me too suggy. Been to musicals & pantomimes with the kids when they were little.

Following Will definitely broadens your experiences.

The only non musical play I went to see was Rebecca, when I took my seat and realised how small the stage was, with only a few props I worried it would be boring ....after only ever going to see shows full of music and effects... I need not have worried, I loved it i was spellbound throughout  but I have not been for years ...........all my money has been taken to fund other events ^_^

That's what the man said....

. But also let’s get things in perspective - hopefully what will happen is a whole load of people who enjoy my songs, who have never had much knowledge of Noel Coward will come along and experience a play like The Vortex.

He knows his fans :D
