January 9, 200718 yr I've been in Amdram from the age of 16, so over the years I seen a good many plays, musicals, revues etc both professional and amateur, and have had enormous pleasure in doing so. :D You're really going to enjoy it, but whilst I'm sure I don't have to tell you, remember to separate Will from Nicky.
January 9, 200718 yr He knows his fans :D He's been trying to give us some culture for years.. looks like his ploy is working. i can't wait!

January 10, 200718 yr Loving the look. Just hope he doesn't think those sun glasses will help him go unnoticed. I always wonder if I would recognize him if I walked past him...and I would have to say probably the answer would be no... I've walked past my hubby and not even noticed
January 10, 200718 yr I found this on a blog [ taken in manchester] :D http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y208/sunday20/manc.jpg Lovely pic, but sunglasses in January?? :o I would have thought that alone would have made him more noticeable, or was it sunny in Manchester on that day. Thanks for posting BYm+m's. LOL at your passing your husband in the street without seeing him - that happened to me years ago (my husband not yours  ), and my husband was furious.
January 10, 200718 yr Author What a great pic, love the beard but I bet it'll be gone by next week :( I don't think I'd walk past him without recognising him, but just looking for the man bag with Will attached to it wouldn't work, as there's loads of guys walking round Manchester with them talking on their mobiles, stangely, there's not many wearing sunglasses though.
January 10, 200718 yr Fab interview posted bu maggie and Willsdoc.. love his Conor mention  Will shapes up for The Vortex NEW CHALLENGE: Will Young IT seems that life out of the limelight is suiting Will Young as he rehearses for his first ever stage role in the Royal Exchange's upcoming production of The Vortex, which starts previewing in a week's time. "This has been the best thing for me, just to step out from London and away from that whole scene where you can't go anywhere," says the former Pop Idol winner. "I feel that I haven't lived a life like this since I was at university. I get up every day and I'm in a flat on my own which I love, even though I miss my boyfriend. I work for 10 hours, have my lunch break at one and finish at about seven or eight o'clock at night. "Then maybe go to the pub and go home. I absolutely love it and it also means that I can work on something without me being the boss, where someone else is in control." Young, who celebrates his twenty-eighth birthday during the run of the play - he claims it will be a quiet affair quite unlike the slightly dissolute way his Vortex character Nicky Lancaster behaves - starred alongside Bob Hoskins and Judi Dench in last year's hit film Mrs Henderson Presents and credits Hoskins with encouraging him to try theatre acting. "It just made sense. I think there is something inside you that drives you to make these decisions, but it was very kind of Bob to encourage me like that." Young's career has blossomed since he won Pop Idol but, to judge by the TV documentary about Gareth Gates shown over Christmas, fate hasn't been quite so kind to his former rival, runner-up in the hit series. Young did see the programme, he admits, and agrees that the show was a bit cruel. "I know that Gareth is a lovely person and I think the programme could have done a lot better for him," he says. "I really hope it works for him. "A lot of this business is luck but you do make your own luck and I'm a very driven person. But it's important to change because what happens if some trend finishes? "I got here anyway. I would have loved to have got here when I was 13, playing the lead in a Noel Coward play. I'm just making the most of it. I wouldn't have it any other way." The Vortex is on at the Royal Exchange from Wednesday, January 17 until Saturday, March 10. Call 0161 833 9833 for more information. maggie did the actual scan but i couldn't bring it over.

Thanks girls for all the posts - so pleased he can feel normal for a little while instead of having to look over his shoulder all the time. Bless him he's missing his man  Young did see the programme, he admits, and agrees that the show was a bit cruel. "I know that Gareth is a lovely person and I think the programme could have done a lot better for him," he says. "I really hope it works for him.
