I really don't think Taylor, the highest-grossing live act in the world, will drop everything to come to some scratty festival hosted by a UK radio station because she was on top of their (fabricated) chart!

The chart is based on airplay, Apple Music streams and iTunes downloads... The Fate Of Ophelia is one of their most played songs, it's one of the most streamed songs in the country and still one of the most downloaded; that's literally how the chart works.

Taylor last played JBB in 2019, if she was playing this year they would've announced it at the start of their reveal for the lineup as she'd drive huge ticket sales.

BUT, there's no reasoning with some people on this site when it comes to actual logic eh x

Nobody's saying they couldn't get Taylor, she's played Capital events before! It's just that her attendance doesn't depend on how many weeks she spends at #1 on a chart that isn't official and means absolutely nothing to anyone who doesn't work for Global. They'd almost certainly have confirmed Taylor upfront to create maximum hype and attention for the event.

Surprise artists they've had at Summertime or Jingle Bell Balls in recent years have included JLS, Sam Ryder, Shaboozey, Natasha Bedingfield and Kylie, none of whom are on Taylor's level (not to compare her and Kylie's success, it's just different, hers is much more UK-based)

Honestly the levels Taylor goes to announce a vinyl variant these days she'd of easter egged the hell out of it by now if there was even the tiniest chance of it happening

If she cannot be there, at least make Jess Glynne and Jet2 voice, Zoe Lister the surprise act

I’m not a parody account. I just want Taylor there because she is number one and that will really shock the audience. There will be a lot of surprises at the ball and they still yet haven’t mentioned the “record breaking group”. Even though some rumours were spreading that a certain fictional band was busy, they could be a surprise act but if not, Taylor’s appearance on Capital Breakfast hints that performance given her album tracks playlisted too

Anyways sorry if this delusion is stressing you all out as I have possibly made a terrible mistake
