January 13Jan 13 Author 13TH: LIAM LAWSON (By virtue of having one 7) 5.66666667 0Gytb5GfU7A okish bit too eager still has much to prove a decent showing in the races he was given but perhaps underperformed to the expectations, hasn't shown to be outright faster than Yuki and had several avoidable mistakes was expecting more after last season
January 14Jan 14 Author 12TH: YUKI TSUNODA 6.1666667 gZsSN_78veA just there but not red Bull materialsolid and mostly reliable without being spectacular, had the measure of both team mates and showed impressive glimpses of pace, however the mad moments still appear from time to time as mid as mid gets
January 15Jan 15 Author 5 11TH: LEWIS HAMILTON 6.25 hj8-sdclXsg ok-ish but disappointing overall 2 mega victories saved the season and still has very strong racecraft but really underperformed in qualifying this season, last season at merc so lower motivation perhaps playing a part still a top driver in races but continually let down by is qualifying, will need to up his game vs Leclerc
January 16Jan 16 Author 10TH: OLIVER BEARMAN 6.5 a6ZS2qZOM okish impressive stand in performances at both Ferrari and Haas under tough circumstances, looked comfortable and earned his spot on next season's grid has looked impressive on his outings, looking forward to seeing more of him
January 17Jan 17 Author 4 9TH: GEORGE RUSSELL 6.916 qs333MgOeHk same, sometimes shows potential, sometimes it's a mess bounced back impressively after a poor 2023, dominated the quali H2H against Lewis and very much showed world champion potential if given a more consistent car a solid season,
January 17Jan 17 Author 1 8TH: OSCAR PIASTRI 7.333 SVs3vBDu9W4 sometimes great, sometimes not there at allsome very big highlights and definitely unlucky to lose his seat however there were still weekends where he was lagging far behind Charles, suggesting a lack of consistency an improvement this season, worryingly tailed off in the last few races. the potential is there to be McLaren's challenger.
January 17Jan 17 Author 1 7TH: CARLOS SAINZ JR 7.416 xIRMgFykMo0 great year, undeservedly replaced by Hamilton next yearsome very big highlights and definitely unlucky to lose his seat however there were still weekends where he was lagging far behind Charles, suggesting a lack of consistency this season pretty much summed up Sainz, consistently good and capable of delivering over and above in the odd race
January 20Jan 20 Author 4 6TH: (By virtue of having one 8 compared to the other driver) FERNANDO ALONSO 7.5 Pq4CsTjKmN4 UP4jhghgTlI great considering the bad car in the last part of the yeartricky to rank due to having one of the worst drivers as a team mate so hard to tell exactly how bad the AM was - did all the heavy lifting but has definitely lost a few tenths of pace compared with last season possibly the hardest driver on the grid to accurately judge given his teammate and the dog of a car
January 21Jan 21 Author 4 5TH: (By virtue of having two 8s compared to Fernando Alonso) PIERRE GASLY 7.5 nracbDwF0Ik 8ZsZOO8_hKg great, one of the best this year a largely underwhelming season in a poor car overshadowed by a superb end to the season, pulling out a string of results to drag the team to 6th in the constructors wasn't ever underperforming his car and then had the best last few races of anyone
January 21Jan 21 As much as I love Gasly I do think his second half was stronger than his first. Was excruciating to see him nab the top 10 standings finish over Hulkenberg, when Nico was arguably stronger throughout the season
January 22Jan 22 Author 1 4TH: LANDO NORRIS 7.75 bdkyYY4dmVw QqGQGlsU2S8 ok but not great, lacks so much a big step forward into the deep end with the best car for most of the season, pulling off some superb drives however he didn't make the most of it at times and should have put up a better fight for the title a really difficult one to grade, in some ways he's had as impressive season as anyone on the grid, but often let down by his own starts and he should really have delivered a closer title fight in the second half of the season
January 22Jan 22 Actually looking at the rates it kind of makes sense - he got a lot of similar scores to the likes of Russell/Hamilton/Leclerc/Sainz etc, noticeably ahead of a lot of drivers He’s kind of finished that high be default (ie he didn’t have a mediocre season)
January 22Jan 22 I mean, I think we were biased by the last races of the season, for the first 3/4 of the season he was mediocre at best
January 22Jan 22 Author 3RD: NICO HULKENBERG 7.916 t5oWhJ0YnSk pLfseJdIJXs P0a-NxPs_0M greatarguably the driver of the season in the first half of the year with some incredulous qualifying performances and solid points scoring, things went a bit south towards the end of the season but a thoroughly impressive campaign in general brilliantly consistent, a shame Haas couldn't quite get 6th in the constructors. Proved his status as a brilliant midfield driver
January 23Jan 23 Author 2 2ND: CHARLES LECLERC 8.3333 gFjfenaHjx4 kaBO6nU60HY cannot deny he's quick extremely strong showing this year, maximising results most weekends and pulling off impressive wins, eliminated the silly mistakes plaguing him in past seasons regularly got the better of his team mate and delivered the maximum from the car
