Gary Barlow to pen track for Leona

 

 

Gary Barlow has promised to write a song for X Factor winner Leona Lewis.

 

The Take That singer met Lewis when his band performed with her during the series finale in December. Barlow admits he was immediately impressed by her talent, and made his views known on national television.

 

"This girl is probably fifty times better than any other contestant you have ever had, so you have a big responsibility to make the right record with her," he told Simon Cowell at the final.

 

And now Barlow has revealed he is more than happy to stand by his opinion, telling the Daily Sport: "She is by far the best voice we've had from a talent show. So it would be a privilege to help her get started. I already have an idea for the kind of track that would suit her."

Good news, I hope she doesn't wait too long before the next single, she needs to capitalise on the X Factor quickly.

Oooo cool - he's written some pretty good songs for/with Delta Goodrem so I'm looking forward to hearing more!! :)

Her voice is good but nothing special..there is nothing distinctive about it....would i recognize her voice on the radio.............. dont think so :lol:

gary is and always has been a great song writer,it look slike they are putting alot of effort into the leona album

Agree with what everyone said here more or less, he's a REALLY good song writer, and I think if he writes her a song it will be a hit ^_^

I like Will and all - but I really do despise the arrogance of his fans. Everytime someone new comes out from one of these shows they get all defensive as if they will steal his crown or something. :rolleyes:

He is the original, he is the best. Leona does have a great voice - no she's nothing we haven't heard before but she iss till very talented and given the right songs etc she could be around for a long time - there is room for all.

We all have our own opinions Graham and I object to your attitude also. If you have a problem address the person who you have the problem with - don't assume.

Why am I not allowed an opinion because I am a fan of Will, if i said I did not like shakira or JoJo that would be ok. :blink: but for some reason if I dont like an artist from a reality Tv programme I am accused of only posting because I am worried about Will :wacko: please I am sick of people telling me who I am allowed to give an opinion on, I did not say she was not talented ...read my post... my comment was on Gary's statement that she had the best voice to come from a reality show.... infact you said more or less what I said .....but I forgot it's ok for you and others to have this opinion. ;)

Lucky Leona. I think with Gary writing for her it will definitely be a hit.

yh, ive got some of the songs she wrote and recorded before the x factor and i love them, she definetly can write. :D
