So it appears Five are on the verge of making an announcement next week. Their Instagram profile has wiped - as indeed has Scott, Ritchie and even Abz (née Abs)' ones (Sean doesn't have one, and of course we all know about J).

I wonder what they're about to announce?

Probably a new tour? But they've been bubbling away and performing over the years anyway. They released an album in 2022 (which next to no one appeared to be aware of).

Ahhhh love Five. They were my 90s boyband!

(What's the story with J btw? The only thing I can find after looking it up is that he doesn't want to be in the public eye anymore)

I think that's pretty much it. He declined to take part in the 2013 reunion too.
Presumably Abs is rejoning them then? I saw them as a trio a few years back and they were fine, the lack of a natural rapper hurts them a bit.
of course we all know about J

What do we know about J sorry? I don't recall his story being mentioned in the recent boyband documentary unless I missed it.

He opted out of The Big Reunion when they did it because he wanted to stay out the public eye. This explains it a bit more:

However, according to this new company registration it looks like all of them are on board for this(!)

It looks like every reunion has kind of faded into nothing in terms of any new material. I wonder if they'll give that a go or not, as they didn't really have any backing previously. I wonder how many people have been aware that they've still been active (just the three of them).

Exciting that it'll be all five of them! I wonder what has swayed J into it after all this time?

Until last year's boy band reunion reminded me, I'd kind of forgotten just how bulletproof their singles discography is. Packed full of bops!

Seems to be heavily implying it's the five of them.

Recently watched Boybands Forever, and the stuff that goes on behind the scenes is such an eye-opener. I'm not surprised some members have been cagey about a reunion.

But this time, if it really is all 5, and they do just a tour and on their own terms, then I think it could be massive.

I'll certainly look to going!

If J can go back to Five then anything is possible for band reunions!

My friend has mentioned this to me and she got me to go to the Mcfly 20th anniversary concert last year, so wouldn't surprise me if she mentions going to this

Amazed they got J back, that felt like it would never happen. I've seen them as a three-piece before at a 90s festival, not sure I ever loved them enough to want to see the full band, but I have always loved Until The Time Is Through and Keep On Movin'.

For some reason I felt like their career was longer than it was - but they actually had a similar number of singles/albums of the Spice Girls
