Sabrina Carpenter makes it to the top 10 for the third time, she's a very Busy Woman these days, while I'm In Love With A German Film Star gives Andy Bell and 90's mates a slot where The Passions first took it in 1981, Damiano David meanwhile does what Maneskin never did - grab a top 10 in my chart.New entries are headed by yet another Armin van Buuren track, he's pushing 'em out on a weekly basis of late, this time Bon Jovi's 1992 chart-topper Keep The Faith gets the pounding dance remake and enters at 49. Don Diablo is back after a lengthy break with dance bop The Way I Are which appears to revamp the old Timbaland number one of the 2000's. There's more dance from Hayley May, and Jonas Blue, and some Country from Lainey Wilson on the rather good Whirlwind, some Bluegrass/traditional folk from Alison Krauss and Union Station on the 150-year-old tragic-tale of Granite Mills, but Alison gifts vocal duties to bandmate Russell Moore for 30 years of charting here.We lost Nu-Soul star Angie Stone to a car crash this week, so her fabulous O'Jays rewrite from the early 2000's I Wish I Didn't Miss You returns again, Shaggy is back with Sting for some fun reggae old-stylee and 33 years of chart action for Shaggy and 46 years for former pin-up Sting. Blossoms keep their run of great poprock singles with Mariah Carey Through Death Valley. I have been to Death Valley and I didn't spot Mariah, though I was singing They Call The Wind Mariah around 55 years ago. Yes, that Alex Warren track is a step up I think, love the addition of a choir, makes it more powerful. Glass Animals are turning out to be one of those "quirky" bands that do their own thing, which is great, I've been following the first one of those (Sparks) for nigh on 51 years and still coming up with the goods. It's a good long-term career move!Revolution/Revelation affected my spelling ability sitting next to one another, it confused me! They are split up this week so that'll help 😆 Whirlwind is great, I must send it to a friend of mine who will enjoy it! I also enjoyed the Blossoms song title - In my case (having gone through Death Valley with the radio on) it would be ELO Through Death Valley, or in the case of 80's cassettes, second-time round Michael Jackson Through Death Valley or Pet Shop Boys Through Death Valley, hah! 😄Thanks as always! 🙂
