Great pics :cheer:

Anyone watch the program on tv yesterday? had to laugh, Robbies idea of warming up the team was spooning and lots of cuddles  sounds good enough to me

Is it tomorrow? :w00t:

A sporty day in front of the telly then. French Open Final and then Soccer Aid.

I wonder what happens if the tennis overruns? Is Soccer Aid kick off put back? Both on same TV channel.

Robbie Williams tells One Direction: "Don't get caught" as he addresses THAT 'joint smoking' video

Jun 07, 2014 22:30 By Simon Boyle

The veteran singer offered the boyband some advise from his years of experience, and said he didn't get caught until he was 22, maybe 23!

Pop veteran Robbie Williams has offered under-fire supergroup One Direction some cheeky advice after Louis and Zayn were caught appearing to smoke cannabis on video – “Don’t get caught”.

The singer, 40, gave his “showbiz brothers” the benefit of his experience – and let’s face it, he has plenty of it – ahead of this weekend’s Soccer Aid at Old Trafford.

No stranger to a spot of bother in his own career, Rob said of the lads’ embarrassing video after it emerged online: “I think they should stop getting caught! Drop a shoulder, give them a dummy, but just don’t get caught. I didn’t get caught until I was at least 22 – maybe 23!”

And he wisely suggested that young pop stars, including Justin Bieber, who last weekend caused outrage after he was filmed using the n-word, should stop making home videos. Smart advice that, Rob – although it would be smarter still not to say it in the first place.

Meanwhile Robbie, who is soon to be a dad for the second time with wife Ayda, has been unable to play in today’s Unicef Soccer Aid, which he’s organised every two years since 2006. He explained he has a back injury and is in the middle of a world tour. “I couldn’t walk last night, I had to get a physio to the house. I want to join in but I can’t - the tour will resume the second Soccer Aid finishes and I have to look after myself.”

Instead he has taken on the role of coach, alongside manager Sam Allardyce, and revealed he introduced an unusual team bonding ritual – spooning. Whatever works...

Now that he’s not going to be joining stars such as John Bishop, Olly Murs, Michael Sheen and James McAvoy on the pitch, silky-skilled Rob has revealed he is gutted he won’t be able to “show off” to the crowds. But he said: “I will think of something!” I bet, Rob.

Michael Sheen: Mourinho will 'run out' at Soccer Aid

Soccer Aid ‏@socceraid 53m

Here's the video of @michaelsheen talking #socceraid on @bbc5live earlier: http://bbc.in/1htuZ3h

DURATION: 02:23

Michael Sheen let 5 live Breakfast into a secret by saying he thinks Jose Mourinho will run out on the pitch at some point during the Soccer Aid at Old Trafford. Del Piero, Seedorf, Seaman and Jamie Theakston are just a few of the big names taking part with former professional footballers to raise money for UNICEF. Sheen said Mourinho will "play wherever he wants". This clip is from 5 live Breakfast, 8 June 2014.

Robbie Williams has been trying to shake off Jonathan Wilkes for years.

Edgar Davids did it with one tackle at Socceraid. 8-)

Soccer Aid: England 2 Rest of the World 4. A Seedorf hat-trick seals a win for Mourinho’s men in a great game at OT. http://t.co/xiMR9kJTe0

Thank you to everyone who's watched and donated tonight. You are amazing and we're overwhelmed. http://www.itv.com/socceraid

I very much enjoyed the match tonight ( and the score!). But my goodness they were all taking it very seriously weren't they? What about Johnny Wilkes and Edgar Davids? Handbags at 30 paces, non?

Edgar was always a little fiery, I used to love him as a player ....

I think the ROW had much stronger ex-players (like half the Dutchie national team). That's what made all the difference tonight.

Don't worry folks We've kissed & made up @esdavids
