The new rules mean only the 3 most played tracks from an artist's album during the tracking period will feature, hence the Charli xcx exodus.

Once a song leaves the chart after 10 weeks on it, it cannot re-enter as the same mix(es). If a remix contributes to a song's chart placing from, say, week 5, that remix’s play count only (or multiple mixes thereof), can keep the song in the chart for up to another 5 weeks.

All songs/eligible mixes must have been released within the last 12 months at the date of entry to the chart.

New Tim's Top 10 Albums rules

If I have bought an album, I will automatically place it at the top of the chart in it's first week. If I have bought multiple albums that week, the positions will be determined by additional track stream count. The album loses its automatic top placing from week 2 and will rely on streams alone for its subsequent positions. The album can return/stay at #1 though if the stream counts are the highest for the week and no album has been purchased that week either.

The reason for this new rule is that, an album's playcount may be lower than it could have been if half of it has been released pre-album release, and I'm not playing them so much anymore. As the album wouldn't enter on the basis of the pre-release track streams prior to full album release date, it just helps give the album overall some exposure on the album chart even if it's only for the week of purchase if I don't play it enough from week 2 onwards.

If the album leaves the chart it can only re-enter if it has a contributing version whose release was within 12 months of the chart date. If, for example, Ariana Grande’s reissue of eternal sunshine gets enough track plays, the streams from that specific version only, may contribute to it potentially re-entering the top 10. Plays of tracks from the original version, also on the reissue, will still be allowed to contribute to the new version play count for that week if the stream came directly from the new version.
