Don't think the single will do that well in the UK, despite being great, but it'll definitely boost album sales, then all she needs is a killer ballad for a third single here to restore her success...

'Wind It Up,' was c**p compared to 'The Sweet Escape,' so hopefully it will do better, I think there's possibly a good chance of top 3 in the UK seeing as the album hasn't sold that much atm and it seems to be getting quite a bit of tv play.

I would think it would easily get Top 10 and Top 5 at a push. ^_^ It just depends what's out around the same time that Gwen releases this. :unsure:

 

Anyway The Sweet Escape Is Scott Mills record of the week on Radio 1 this week. :D ^_^

Fair enough but seeing as Akon was supposedly one of the big creative brains behind the track it would be good to hear him have more input into the actual song. They seem to work well together though so I think it's likely they'll possibly even work on a song in the future that actually belongs to Akon where both artists share the vocals.

Personally I'm glad the only thing we hear of Akon in the song is a few whistle noises. :lol:

Sweet Escape (album) could have been seriously amazing if she put the other songs with him, Linda Perry, Dallas Austin and Nellee Hooper on it. :(

I hope Gwen Stefani works with Timbaland on her next solo album as by working with Nelly Furtado he made her a brilliant album and imo 'Loose,' is a better album than 'The Sweet Escape.' I do hope at the end of this project Gwen does return to No Doubt and they return with a brilliant album though.

There are better songs on the album, but I like this. :D I hope Early Winter or Four In The Morning is the third single.
