  • It's been much discussed elsewhere, but the ACR rules becoming increasingly ineffective at fulfilling their purpose - especially it seems with songs which have been out for a while and get a reset aro

Call me cynical, but I can't imagine they'd have weathered it quite so well if they were women.

Show Me Love has hit ACR at just the right time IMO, it's clearly not going to peak any higher than #3 at this stage. It's just a shame other songs are making a mockery of the process...!

Official Charts Report

Alex Warren leads the race for this week’s Official Number 1 single, expected to make it an out of the Ordinary 12 weeks at the top.

Last week, the track was named the UK’s joint longest-running chart-topping single of the 2020s, drawing level with Ed Sheeran’s Bad Habits.

But there’s competition from rising South-East London star Skye Newman, with second release Family Matters set to jump three to a brand-new peak (3).

Skye’s similarly soulful debut Hairdresser could reach new heights, too, up three midweek (13).

This week’s highest new entry could come courtesy of Tate McRae, with Just Keep Watching (From F1® The Movie) predicted to debut at Number 8.

Breakout dance trio Max Dean, Locky and Luke Dean hope to see their first-ever Singles Chart entry Can’t Decide on the ascent in its second week on chart, potentially lifting two (17).

Oh, hi! Finally, Lola Young’s One Thing looks to land a new peak; up three midweek (19).

re 40 Bob Marley & the Wailers - Legend

I could see Taylor having a few in the top 10 and probably all in the top 40, but not sure she’ll get #1 tbh

Predictions

  1. Ordinary

  2. pink pony(sigh)

  3. undressed

  4. Family matters

  5. Love me not

  6. Blessings

  7. Azizam

  8. Shake it to the max

  9. Can’t decide

  10. Just keep watching

I guess Taylor's debut album could get a new peak maybe?

The effect on streaming for 'reputation' doesn't seem to be too huge so far (pending Spotify tomorrow I guess), wouldn't think it'd be contending for #1. This Miley era has felt very quiet but she could potentially get another #1 album even if she only sells half as much as 'Endless Summer Vacation' did first week.

funnily here in Denmark the debut album is the one that's #1 on itunes

the effect seems little on streaming judging by Amazon and Apple, Cruel Summer and Lover seem to benefit the most

and those are not even part of the first 6 albums...

I reckon Miley should be #1 as she has physicals

Not really barring a few humongous ones a lot of albums hit top of iTunes but struggle on the actual chart

How much long until ordinary goes on ACR?

Probably till Christmas at this rate 😔

3 weeks at the minimum - it declined less than the market did last week so is on 0 weeks at the moment.
