Oh look, the media have finally discovered Bob Vylan, and they're getting all agitated about them.

Imagine musicians and festival goers, a very progressive constituency, being pro-Palestine. It does make the media look really out of touch, they're just words, and arguably are part of what makes the festival so culturally relevant.

(which is why in my archivist mood I'm very much annoyed to see that the BBC are now censoring the on-demand version of that set, it's likely to be the most historically relevant part of this festival!)

No offence as they’ve some good songs but the lead singer of The 1975 is an arsehole!

It's great to see bands bringing the politics back to the festival, instead of the middle class knees up it has been for ages.

Must admit I was surprised Neil Young was very quiet in this regard, unless I missed something. He normally has quite a bit to say

Music has always been political in the sense it is influenced what is happening in our culture and is about indiviual expression, it's so dystopian seeing this censorship and politicians limiting what can be said, it's sad we're at a point where it needs to be the musicians that call out this injustice because the government are too much in Israel's pocket but here we are. Calling it 'Appaling' and a police investigation...seriously just f*** off, why is this language not used to describe what the IDF are doing to Gaza?

Streisand effect and all, I now really want to check Bob Vylan out, hopefully the set materialises somehow on YouTube x

ALL offence tbh

He's such an insufferable c**t. Nicknamed Scratty Healy for a reason!

JADE's set is the only set I've seen so far, but she was outstanding.

I actually felt bad after I posted that as I don’t like slabbering about people I don’t really know but he grinds me. 🤣

Yeh problem is the Zionist’s try to make people who call this out to be antisemetic when they are actually anti genocide and anti killing woman and children for the horrendous crimes of Hamas. They did it with Corbyn as Labour leader too and it continues. It’s about preventing opinions which makes things worse!

Prodigy pretty good. Olivia Rodrigo brought out Robert smith and did a couple songs with him. Big contrast in the two stages but both 9/10

There's a lot I need to catch up on from over the weekend but decided to watch Olivia as it happens and the Robert duets were a nice surprise!

They've done 'Friday I'm In Love' and 'Just Like Heaven' ❤️

Yeah Olivia was incredible very few solo pop type artists could pull that off

Kind of odd that Rod Stewart sang the Crazy Horse song and Neil Young didn't.

Prodigy delivering as expected

Just catching up with sets I wanted to see. Alanis Morissette and Jade were awesome. Watching Scissor Sisters now!
