Curious if anyone not following the franchise is also planning to watch the movie this September (I'll be there a month earlier!), as it will be a sequel to the TV series and not a standalone.

Glad I'm still young enough to enjoy the KnY saga for both the animations and the story until now, especially since it's been acclaimed as the most overrated anime of all time.

Super stoked to see this next month, as the movie starts airing today in Japan. Seen many videos of Japanese people lining up SINCE 2AM local time! I've read the manga up to this part already, but I'm still extremely encouraged to do ticket wars!

Don't think it will defeat Ne Zha 2's box office sales, but this will definitely blow up worldwide, too, despite being the franchise's 6th sequel.
