The Killers chart twice at Rolling Stone Magazine's best songs of 2006. But you'll be surprised at which song charts higher:

12 "Read My Mind" [song]

The Killers

A shimmering singalong about love in the sticks. Ever wonder what Bono would sound like if he grew up in Vegas?

34 "When You Were Young" [song]

The Killers

This hard-rocking hit showed the Killers could make it without glitz and eyeliner. It also proved you could turn "he doesn't look a thing like Jesus" into a killer hook.

I was asking myself the same thing, where's Bones? :P And I'm also surprised they're including "Read My Mind" on a 2006 year-end chart, especially when it's 2007 and it wasn't released yet  But this is good overall, I really love "Read My Mind" and I think it's one of the best from "Sam's Town"!

yeah, true. maybe it's because it's top 100 SONGS not singles?

Yeah, probably it's due to that! Maybe any song recorded in 2006 could be included.
yeah probably cos Sam's Town was released in '06...

If that's the case, then it'd have been nice if they also included "Bling", "Sam's Town" or "For Reasons Unknown" on the list.
true, but still the Killers are one of the few artists to have more than one song in the list, so it's all good

Yeah, I think I was asking too much there
