The first movie almost being two decades old feels a bit scary! I remember Spider Pig being the talk of school and now I'm going to be weeks away from turning 30 when the sequel comes out *_* feels very late but at least it's a good excuse to whip this out:

It will flop. The only way to make this flop show i to a successful movie now in 2025 is to END IT. If this movie is the END, it makes sense. Otherwise, no. Flop.

If I’m honest the first one was a bit of a disappointment to me at the time after I’d been hyped for it. The show was on the wane at the time and from what I’ve seen it’s even worse now. Many of the voices aren’t right anymore. I don’t think anyone asked for this but I guess money talks.

I did really like the first movie and it's quite nostalgic, even when the show itself was fading in quality not sure how I feel about one now the show's at least twenty years past it's best, would be quite the miracle if it were to match the first one x

I just hope they make the second Simpsons movie longer than the first one and I’ll be watching it. They need to do a Family Guy movie next

My friend just told me about this as I'm a former major Simpsons fan. I haven't seen many of the newer episodes past like season 20-something though. I will definitely go in to see it, the cinema has been like my home for the past two or three years lmao.

...I do worry about Marge's voice.

The show is not THAT bad now, it still has decent moments and has picked up a bit more I feel recently, Marge’s voice actress has really had it though.

Interestingly, Julie Kavner (Marge lol) is the narrator in an upcoming movie called Ella McCay (appears on screen too). I knew that voice in an instant when the trailer played at the cinema.

This does feel about 10-15 years later than it should’ve been, though you could say almost the same thing about the first movie.

I’ll still go and see it though.
