It's 2 weeks on top for Miley Fleetwood Cyrus Mac, still holding of Saint Etienne and Confidence Man, though sombr grabs his 2nd top 3 with Back To Friends, and oldies from The Style Council, Talking Heads return to the top 10, Nancy Sinatra finally grabs a long-deserved Sugar Town top 10 (most of her career was pre-personal charting), her 10th top ten. JADE gets a second top 10 with Unconditional and Ian Storm a first with the cover of the Kansas 1970's minor hit.

Pet Shop Boys enter a new orchestral version, much-edited, of It's A Sin - it first hit the top spot in 1987, and has since been back on top in the 21st century, and now back again at 26. Dave Ball of Soft Cell and The Grid died last week, so two under-rated classics pop back again, Say Hello Wave Goodbye on it's 5th chart run at 30, an emoting classic, and Torch returns lower down, having only charted the once, but hitting the top spot in 1982. Tainted Love has regularly been big in my charts, so that's having a break this time.

Spanish superstar ROSALIA gets a second chart entry, banging in with the symphonic and schizophrenic Berghain, a right interesting track with Bjork being Bjork (and a chart return after a gap of 24 years, instantly increasing her chart span to almost 35 years including Sugarcubes' Hit) and a rap tacked on the end from Yves Tumor. Just behind, and who would have predicted it (not me) but Westlife have another good track out, much better than their bland heyday, Chariot giving them a run of 26 years or so, new at 66.

The Castells early 60's obscurity, Little Sad Eyes, featured in a TV show last week, and the very 1950's charm appealed to me, so in that debuts at 78 while another TV series featured The Ventures classic instrumental from the same era, Walk, Don't Run, so that pops in at 85 too. Louis Tomlinson is back again with his occasional chart forays, this one Lemonade, Depeche Mode have an outake from Memento Mori dropping as a single, and In The End is dark and affecting at 80, for 44 years of charting, and an unexpected collab at 81 returns Yungblud to the chart (last here with Avril Lavigne 2 years ago on chart-topper I'm A Mess) along with Aerosmith, on My Only Angel - it's been 13 years since a new track charted, and 38 years since they debuted.

Two more comebacks remain, Foo Fighters' Asking For A Friend at 83 is a pretty decent, and their first for 2 years, extending their run to 28 years. Yes, that doesn't sound right, but it's true! Cerrone has been back in the 2020's, with Purple Disco Machine, but the funky A Part Of You extends the synth pioneer chart run to a whopping 47 years since Supernature first cracked it.

Hey John,

Miley + and Saint Etienne/Confidence Man still at the Top thumbup

Jade and Ian Storm Top 10, Rose Gray and Pet Shop Boys Top 30, Blue, Tame Impala and Jade Top 40 yahoo

Best new entries bubbling under: Westlife, Louis Tomlinson, Cerrone and Depeche Mode 👌

Hey John!

What a fascinating and eclectic chart this week — I love how diverse your Top 10 is. “SECRETS” holding strong at #1; Miley teaming up with Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood clearly hit the perfect classic–modern sweet spot. “ONCE IN A LIFETIME” climbing to #6 feels iconic — it’s timeless and still resonates so well today.

It’s awesome to see “UNCONDITIONAL” by JADE surging into the Top 10, so are the steady rises for “THE DEAD DANCE” and “DRACULA”.

Nice debuts too! “BERGHAIN” is unique, as are Louis Tomlinson’s “LEMONADE” and Depeche Mode’s “IN THE END” they add even more variety to your lower end.

All in all, another rich, unpredictable mix — your chart always feels like a journey through decades and genres.

Miley Cyrus for #1 again 😁

New peak positions for Sombr, Ian Storm, Morgan Wallen, Lady Gaga, Tame Impala, Taylor Swift, Sigala, Lewis Capaldi, Gorillaz and Scotty McCreery 😁

Also good seeing new debuts for Westlife, Soft Cell, Louis Tomlinson, Depeche Mode and Aerosmith 😁

Hey John!

Back to friends getting a new peak is fantastic, honestly. Loving his output.

Yass jade. Unconditional to smash here even more 😃🤣 it's just soooo gooooood.

Undressed continuing its very slow ascent up the ranks. I am not complaining. I'm actually surprised he hasn't already released a new single.

Fab chart! 😃

Hey John,

Undressed climbing!! 🤗

Taylor almost Top40!! Very good song!! 😇

Jade Top40!!

Back To Friends almost N.1!! ❤️
