Sad for the DNQs as I loved the majority of them. I'm actually surprised the scores weren't higher in Semi 2 among the DNQs as it felt so closely fought, but I did lose two of my votes and Herbilore who were 12th in my very close top 15, all of who I wanted to vote for. I liked the other three songs too, bah.

I genuinely liked most of SF2, so it's a shame to see any of them DNQ — even songs I didn't vote for I enjoyed, which is rare. There was something in the water this month.

I wouldn't take it personally in that way (whether there's truth to it or not), but I certainly wouldn't say it's wrong to feel some entries would absolutely qualify if they were sent by more widely "respected" or consistently popular countries

Says a lot that I had 7 of my 8 highest points providers in this semi, and none of them voted for my entry - poor judgement on my part to go down that particular rabbit hole, but after already blotting the year three contests ago and being back on a Q streak I was happy to take the risk. I'd need something pretty special in BJSC 180 to get back in the top 20 for the year though.

Seeing as I listen blind first to everything on Spotify, who sends what is of no consequence to my votes.

I did give Valencia high points in PFSC which I knew you were behind, because I was the host. So absolutely not is my answer.

I actually quite liked 'Everything Reminds Me of You', but just found this semi to be ridiculously strong — more so than usual. So many songs felt indirectly aimed at my taste, total bloodbath

Couldn't vote for everyone, including Bronzil, and I'm a card-carrying member of their fanclub 💔

If there is one thing I've learnt is that everyone votes differently and some do tend to be stuck in their ways, as in, they usually gravitate to the same nations time after time because of their similar tastes. That said, the curse of the wrong semi is a real one, and although you can vote for five more songs in a final than you can in a semi final, if you're not in the right semi with the voters you require then you will suffer.

I would have granted 5 points to Herbilore if I was in your semi, but it seems even that wouldn't be enough to alter your final position this month. ☹️
