I'll let you know when I have placed my bet for the Christmas number one this year. I expect to do it next week - I'll look at the contenders this week and see what takes my fancy. Last year, I won my bet for Wham! being Xmas number one for 2024.

Thanks I will wait with anticipation hun

Rein Me In is probably my least fave song Sam Fender is involved!

This getting a new peak so long into it's chart run for such a BORING song is evil

Agreed.

Hard to say this top 5 peak isn't deserved given how big a hit (and persistent an ACR-dodger) it's been, but I can't say it's ever done much for me.

Works for some people - beggars can't be choosers.

Biography

Singer/songwriter Olivia Dean crafts poignant ballads and warm pop anthems, showcasing a deep sense of self-awareness. Born in 1999 in Enfield and raised in Walthamstow, Dean participated in gospel choir at a young age, before busking in the streets and eventually attending the famous BRIT School. Influenced by Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Carole King, Dean’s own take on music is autobiographical and vulnerable. In 2019, she released her debut EP, Ok Love You Bye, which delved into the challenging aspects of dating, like on the meditative “Password Change”. The following year, Dean dropped her follow-up EP, What Am I Gonna Do On Sundays?, a concise but evocative set of songs brimming with celestial melodies and confessional lyrics. Dean’s signature introspective style continues to grow more intimate, as evinced by the delicate 2021 EP Growth, highlighted by the soul-baring single “Be My Own Boyfriend”. - Apple Music

This is such a incredibly dull chart omg I don't remember it being this bad a month or so ago

Is this the first time Olivia has 3 songs in the top 5 simultaneously? If it is it’s crazy that it’s happened because of rein me in 😭

Man I need need taxi out top 10 long few other been in here to long

Her Uber keeps on rejecting because she's here to stay 💜

Although "Man I Need" was recently a UK number one in October, I still think of it as a number 2 that was the biggest of the number twos that Rumi, Mira and Zoey (aka HUNTR/X) kept off the top.

I think it's been an interesting week below the top 10, largely quite stale inside it (beyond EsDeeKid's new top 10 hit but I'm no fan!), this top section feels particularly stale unfortunately.

True, it's always so boring in the Top 10 I guess

Respectfully, I have no idea what this has to do with what I said!
