I would like a top 100 but I barely pay much attention to the lower regions of the chart - it seems to be a mess these days with random climbs and re-entries all over the place and whilst it makes a good read - I still only feel the top 40 is the most important.

I do however think that single sales are on the rise again I mean 1,500 to make #75 this week. I think it's needed as the new rules will keep many songs that before would've reached the top 75 on 1000 or so sales will not anymore and therefore will not go down as a bonified chart hit.

I like it as it is, but a 100 wouldn't be so bad I suppose, not more than that though.

the new rules will see the return of a lot of old songs, charting 1 or 2 weeks in all places of the charts

top 200

200 is good as it lets you find out where smaller indie artists got to with their singles. Many of them sneak in around 190 - it's not just weird old songs.

I recently resubscribed to chartsplus though, so, yes, it'd be good to have easier access to the top 200 singles - much of the rest of the chartsplus doc I simply skim over.

I still only feel the top 40 is the most important.

I and many others don't feel this way. I am interested in the lower chart positions and I see nothing wrong in random chart climbers and re-entries - makes the chart more interesting.

How about a Top 137!!!

seriously - make it an official top 100, but publish a top 200 for people to see!
